I am originally from Colorado but San Diego is my home. I love to travel but I also love staying home and discovering new places in San Diego. I enjoy fine dining, boating, watching and playing sports.

Although we never met Chad, he was an excellent host! Very responsive and the key code door lock made it extremely easy to check-in and out. Parking was easy to find which, coming from LA, took the stress out of everything right off the bat. Once we got there, the first thing I noticed was how clean the place was..definitely cleaner than some hotels I’ve stayed at! The location can’t be beat, you’re located in the heart of Little Italy and it’s just a $5 uber ride to downtown. My boyfriend and I travel a lot and this was by far the best experience we've ever had! We’ll definitely be back to Chad’s cozy apartment for all future San Diego trips.
Chad's place was very convenient for our needs as we were attending an event at the Waterfront Park, which was walking distance. He was very easy to communicate with, and checking in and out was a breeze. The apartment had the essential amenities which made our weekend even more comfortable.
Chad made it easy to conduct business with him. Though there was minimal contact, it works well. I really felt like we had the place to ourselves. The space is cozy. The walk to the trolley is about 15 to 20 minutes with a child. Probably about 10 to 15 minutes for adults. There is a local grocery store about 6 minutes up the hill. Though you are right over the air plane path, it didn't wake us up at night. We watched movies and didn't notice the planes. When the house is quiet you can hear them or if you are outside. This place was a great deal. We walked everywhere. Little Italy is just across the highway and the park is just up the hill. Also, you get your own code to the door, so no need to worry about keys. Place was super clean. Show up, text Chad you are there, and enjoy. I recommend this place and would stay again. This is a great deal.
This place is fantastic!!!! Very close to everything in the city, but tucked far enough away to avoid the hustle and bustle. We had a last minute change of plans and Chad was very accommodating to us as well. (Thank you Chad!!!) The place is clean, sweet, and a really great deal. We couldn't have been happier with our stay!
Chad provided an amazing experience for my first-ever trip using AirBnB. He responded in a timely manner every time I contacted him, and he wrote in a really down to Earth way that helped make the situation feel totally at ease about everything. I'm glad that I chose to stay at Chad's apartment because now I have a good baseline for what to expect when I continue to use this service!
The studio apartment was much larger than I thought it would be. It has a separate, full kitchen, and it was so clean that it was like everything was brand new. The first night I was there, I decided to make a steak dinner on the stove and relax while watching Netflix on his flat screen tv. It felt more like a home than the typical Suite style places I stay on my business trips.
The apartment is really close to the airport, and as someone mentioned before, it's actually right in the flight path of the airplanes. It didn't really bother me much, but it's something to consider. For me, the value and price far exceeded any noise. I'm used to city life, so a few planes are nothing compared to cars and sirens on a nightly basis. The neighborhood this pad was in didn't have any of that, so when there wasn't a plane, it felt eerily quiet! LOL
It has it's own entrance, which was super cool. The next door neighbor does go across the patio to get to their house, but I only saw her once (when I stupidly forgot the code to get it there!).
The location could not be better. It's uphill from the water, so you can go and check out the navy ships and stuff. There's a Starbucks about 4 blocks down with super nice baristas. My conference was on Market street, which was only about 20-25 minute walk. Because of the layout of the neighborhood, it's about a 30 minute walk to the Gaslamp District, which is where the nightlife is for downtown. Uber ended up only being about 9-14$. It's in a residential area, but within minutes you're in Little Italy. If you're a beer drinker, it's about 2 blocks from the Ballast Point R&D Brewery. THAT was convenient.
Highly recommend for a single or a couple that sleeps in the same bed. Not great for children or families. Perfect for me. Thanks Chad!
My girlfriend and I had a great experience at "The Space." One big plus is that it's conveniently located near several freeways. The only draw-back is that planes constatly fly over the area. However, it wasn't really a factor for us because we spent most of our trip sightseeing and outside of the apartment. I would totally recommend this place for anyone visiting SD for a couple of days!
Everything was great. The place was immaculate and very convenient. It was exactly what I was looking for., down to the luxurious bath towels. Thanks.
Chad made checking in and out one of the smoothest I've ever had. Everything I needed was there from towel, kitchenware, and internet. Great stay, would highly recommend
The listing description was very accurate and the pictures perfectly show the listing. It is very conveniently located. Although it is near the airport and you can hear the planes, it did not interrupt my sleep or our experience. Chad was accommodating and the apartment was lovely. Thank you, Chad!
Chad's place was perfect: clean, close to the airport & close to many downtown places. It was close to many highways and there was no traffic. It was convinent to access since it was keyless entry. He was so helpful with suggestions for parking. The cottage was well stocked and provided everything we needed with a clean kitchen, iron, hair dryer, clean sheets & towels. The cottage had great natural sunlight and a great AC unit. The neighborhood was safe and we felt comfortable enough to walk around at night. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it if you're staying in San Diego. It was a great place to stay to get a feel of what it's like to live in San Diego.
