The home is quirky and comfortable- it really is a desert oasis, perfect for city slicker first time visitors to Joshua Tree and the surrounding areas (like me). Close to a bunch of cool stuff in town. Detailed directions were invaluable for getting to the house safely and swiftly. The home itself was stocked with all the basics- towels, toiletries, etc, and the pool and hot tub were a delight. Beautiful vistas and overall a delightful place to just chill and share meals with friends over a relaxing 4th of July weekend. You won't get cell service, but you really won't miss it. Skip the beach house and do the desert house!

Everything was exactly as described. The home was lovely, incredibly clean and had everything we needed (and more). I would recommend Los Encantos to anyone looking to get away for the weekend and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Joshua Tree and Yucca Valley. We loved the jacuzzi and enjoyed the back patio, perfect weather and gorgeous sunsets. Hosts were very easy to communicate with and provided us with simple, detailed instructions. Would definitely book this place again!
Los Encantos is a gem. Beautiful house-- clean & great design with everything you need for a weekend away. The hot tub was fantastic. Can't recommend this place enough!
Super accurate. Great place!
10/10 would rent again. Beautiful views, peace & solitude. Very nice & clean property with everything one could want from a quiet desert retreat.
This house served as a perfect retreat for my family for the weekend as we were getting married in Pioneertown. The house was clean and the interior design was super fun. The jacuzzi was nice, the pool was not swimmable but the owner let us know ahead of time this was the case due to the drought, so we were not disappointed.
lovely home and lovely hosts - a pleasure to communicate with. we loved our stay here and couldn't recommend it more!
Hosts communicated well. Great location and beautiful home. At first I was reluctant to book a location in Yucca Valley (wasn't too familiar with the area) but based on reviews I decided to take a chance and I am so happy I did. The location and view from the back patio were amazing. The house was clean and beautifully decorated. There were many nice personal touches and conveniences throughout the house. The three beds were very comfortable.
There were A few issues, but nothing that would prevent our family from staying at Los Encantos again. We understand that it must be a real challenge to keep on top of everything at a vacation home and we are thankful the hosts opened their beautiful home for rental. Two adults slept on the futon, and did not find it very comfortable.
Upon arrival Jacuzzi was pristine and just a slight chlorine smell, which was good. Enjoyed our first evening use of the Jacuzzi and the beautiful night sky. After one use though chlorine level dropped greatly, and the floating container that should have had slow dissolving chlorine inside was empty and we could not find any supplies to replenish it. Jacuzzi was not usable by the second day due to nonexistent chorine level and bee activity - thirsty bees were attracted to a blooming plant on the patio located near the spa and to the water in the spa. Had inquired about whether or not the oven worked and stated that we were planning oven independent meals and hosts said they were not aware of any problems, but oven definitely did not work correctly for us and that was rather frustrating. We would have planned different meals if we had known oven didn't work properly. Burners worked well. No microwave but there was a toaster oven. Informed hosts that we planned on using the aboveground pool, but the cover must have come loose in the wind and the pool was not clean and the water level was low. Maybe hosts thought the temperature might be too cool for us to use it, and that may have been true, but pool use was not an option for our trip.
For our trip there were no paper towels but otherwise kitchen was well stocked.
Despite issues mentioned, we really enjoyed the home and the amazing location!
Los Encantos Desert home was such a wonderful experience! We were 2 families (4 adults and 4 kids under 6 years) looking for an escape from the hustle and bustle of LA and this place totally offered it!! The location is beautiful, the home is beautiful!! We loved exploring around the home and spending time in the hot tub! The high desert is amazing and would highly recommend everyone to check it out!
