I'm a single woman and I'm quiet, yet fun and crazy with my friends. I have a sarcastic sense of humor. One very important part of my life is capoeira angola. I have been practicing for 6 years and it is my meditation. It keeps my body, mind and soul healthy. It challenges me physically and mentally and I can't imagine my life without it. I suffer from wanderlust so I love to travel or I take pleasure in the travels of others (especially if they have pictures). I love being a part of the natural world and take pleasure in watching and listening to my surroundings. I can laugh out loud at things that have happened in the past. I can interrupt a conversation to get my thoughts in before I forget. I'm not trying to be rude I just don't want to forget the thought. I smile, frown, make faces just like anyone else. In the words of a friend of mine, "you're a good person". I think that's pretty much true!
I love to dance. I've been dancing social tango for about 2 years. I also like me some salsa and bachata. I'm in the process of learning forro and I think I can dance a bit of samba.
I love books! So I have an extensive library of books at home and I've read just about all of them. I'd always promised myself when i got out of college that when I can afford it, I'm going to buy books and start my own personal library. So far so good.
I like to go hear music especially "world" music. I play capoeira angola and I'm really into learning more about Brazilian culture and music. But I have such a wide range of music tastes from Bob Marley to Radiohead to Alejandro Fernandez (ranchera). I like lots of different things.
Movies, movies! I'm a slave to them. I'm addicted to Netflix and Amazon. I guess a couple of my favorites are the ones that I've bought: "28 Days Later", "Alien", "Ravenous", Pride and Prejudice" to name a few. Big fan of horror and science fiction as you can see. Also love British TV series.
I love pizza! Pizza with beer is a plus. Love diner food, Middle Eastern, Ethiopian, authentic Mexican, Brazilian, Cuban, Dominican and Southern food.
Finally, the six things I can't do without: Capoeira angola, the Internet, food, my bathtub, my friends, traveling.
