Georgia was very helpful despite our problems with our phone and organised a hire car to get us from the port to the apartment. We found the apartment to be in a good location and fairly clean, close to some lovely restaurants and amazing views of the caldera. We loved visits from Georgia's cat! Wireless fairly patchy so we used the wifi in town. Enjoyed our stay very much, thankyou.
This place is a great value. Easily could sleep four more than comfortably. And, in the middle of a long trip, the full kitchen and washing machine were lifesavers. Nice location, easy to walk into town via the scenic footpath along the coast. Definitely recommend, especially for four or more. Georgia was very nice.
Ottima posizione per visitare Santorini.
Posizione tranquilla e vicinissima a Fira.
Wonderful location, handy to Oia, Fira, and the beaches. We walked into Fira on the first day but found it too hot, especially with two small children. After that, we used the buses which were worth the wait.
The house is exactly as described and pictured, and was perfect for our family. Our two small boys shared the small room and there was plenty of space for our travel cot, even with two single beds in it. We didn't use the air conditioning, or dish washer but the washing machine worked well -just make sure to peg your clothes on well to the washing line, as it gets quite windy!
Georgia was a great host, quick to respond and organised our taxi from the airport, which I would recommend as even the taxi driver dropped us at the neighbours place.
Overall, we had a wonderful time and I would definitely recommend Georgia's place.
Georgia was super nice, and helpful. She has a ton of information about the island set out for you to read, arranged a taxi to pick us up from the airport (which I recommend doing, and be sure to organize for one to take you to the airport ahead of time for when you leave). The listing is a nice 15-20 min walk from Fira. It is a bit downhill, meaning it is a bit uphill on the way back. This is a simple listing, but it had everything we needed. A few notes we learned during our stay: 1. Get to the airport at least 1 hour before your flight leaves. The gate closes 45 minutes before departure (we missed our flight by 10 minutes. super sad.) 2. You have to buy all bottle water. There is no water you can drink on the island. 3. There is a store super close to the listing with everything you need. 4. You can't flush toilet paper in any toilets 5. You HAVE to rent ATV's and ride them around the island. It's the best way to get around and see everything. 6. Kamari Beach was our favorite 7. The internet at the listing did not work on my macbook air at all. there is no signal in the listing. my sister was able to get a tiny bit of reception sitting on a specific stair outside. we should have marked the exact spot you have to sit in, because if we moved, then we weren't able to get a signal. We knew this from reading other reviews though, and we planned on staying away from the internet as much as possible anyway. 8. You can get the same good food at any restaurant, but pay half the price if you don't need a view of the ocean. I definitely recommend this listing to anyone who doesn't need a ton of luxuries. It is a great deal, and we had a lot of fun! Thank you!
Georgia's house is fabulously located just off Imerovigli Square, within walking distance to Fira and a short bus ride away from Oia. However, note the wireless access is sporadic; in order to connect (as the server is in Georgia's own home next door) you need to be outside, as there's no connection from indoors. Luckily the Greek islands have fairly widespread internet access in restaurants and bars, so this didn't prove to be too much of a problem for us. Altogether we had a wonderful stay. Thanks!
Apart from a minor hiccup regarding our air-port pickup, we had a very enjoyable stay in Santorini. We had to take a bus to Fira/Oia, but we appreciated the tranquil, beautiful location of Georgia's house. She was very friendly and helpful, and the house had all the amenities we needed.
This is an excellent choice if you are looking to for reasonably budget accommodation. The house is clean and large enough for four people (it would be a bit of a squeeze for more) It's a clean house, there is a view of the sea and it's close to a bus stop that takes your to the ever-famous Oia. Giorgia is a great hostess- we didn't meet face-to-face but she arranged for a taxi transfers and was available on text throughout our stay. My only note of caution is not about the house but rather the road on which its located: yes, it's only a 15 walk to Fira (the main town) but be aware- this is a *very* busy road with bikes, buses and cars whizzing past at all times. I would not recommend walking on this road if you are travelling with kids. To sum up: this is a great deal on a island not famous for it's bargains!
