I loved every minute in Marina’s & Edmond’s apartment. I was impressed by the harmony and coziness of the flat. Everything about is beautiful, and even though it’s located on a major street, it’s quite, so I had good night sleeps.
The apartment is spacious, and extremely well located. Metro/tram/bus stops available nearby if I wanted to get to downtown. When I felt for a nice walk or even for a hike, the Buda hills were just around the corner. I loved walking in the nearby park and doing the grocery shopping in the farmer’s market located just next to the flat.
I met Edmond and he was very gracious and helpful throughout my stay, making sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed.
This is a magnificent and peaceful apartment. I highly recommend it and would absolutely return in a heartbeat!
We had a great time in this apartment! It's a beautifully decorated place with a very nice kitchen and bathroom. Very warm, quiet and cosy with a comfortable bed (and an extra single bed in the living room). There's a supermarket around the corner and it's very near to public transport so in 20 minutes you can reach the center of Pest. In walking distance to the fishermen's bastion and Mathias church.
Marina was very helpful replying to me very quickly and helping me out with practical questions.
Would love to come back here one day!
Super location, quiet but very close to the beach, and a pleasant walk to the town. Lovely to have a garden in this area. Well equipped kitchen fitted out with everything we needed. Really enjoyed our time here.
Marina and Edmond, and Edmond's mom too, were lovely, warm and friendly, as well as accommodating and flexible with check-in and out. The apartment is beautifully renovated and decorated, and is the perfect combination of elegant and cozy. The location could not be better for the conference I was attending at the Budapest Congress Centre, and getting downtown, to the castle district and to the thermal baths was also very easy by foot or bus. Would love to stay here again!
This is an amazing apartment. The pictures do not even reflect how beautiful it is. Nice decorations and colors all around, a little piece of Barcelona in the middle of Budapest. All furniture is the highest quality teak hardwood. The apartment is well set up with plenty of towels, bed linens and kitchen utensils, we didn't miss anything. We traveled around Hungary, and was always happy to return to this apartment in Budapest.
There are two good sized rooms with new beds and a sitting area, and a large kitchen with a breakfast table, perfect for 3 people. The bathroom has a shower, and the toilet is separate. There are two balconies, one for each rooms. The apartment is very bright, the rooms face east and south. All windows are brand new, noise insulated, and equipped with shades that can make the rooms pitch dark for the night.
There is no airconditioning, but the apartment has a big fan, and it didn't get too hot, especially that we kept the shades down during the day. Plus it is easy to make a draft with all windows open.
We haven't met Marina personally (she is in Barcelona), only her parents-in-law, who were very helpful. We had email connection with Marina, and she was very flexible with everything, for example we requested wifi internet in the apartment, and she promptly arranged excellent quality wifi.
Finally, the location is very nice and convenient. It is on the Buda side, which is much preferred by all locals, and it is not touristy at all. It is right next to a shopping mall with a big supermarket (selling "vajas kifli", the most seeked after version of the usual crescent shaped bread), and plenty of restaurants.
The bus stop is right in front of the building, and the tram is within a block. There is also a very nice swimming pool a block away, as well as a park and hills to walk around.
All in all, it was the perfect apartment for us, we will definitely rent it out again when we come back to Budapest next year.
