I've only just come across airbnd recently and really like the concept. The idea of welcoming guests in your own place, of possibly being able to offer a foreigner some insights into your home town, and inabling social and cultural exchange is something that is so vital to the joy of travelling. What I love about travelling is to be open to different views, to meet different people, to get an insight into the culture and to just spend time and take in the atmosphere of a place.
I've spent a lot of time in the UK and also in New Zealand for work and travel, and have also been to many places in (website hidden) is definitely one of my favourite countries, the people and their laid back way of life, the wildlife, the lush bush, the wide, open land and the sea. Still, I'm sure there are nice places and friendly people to be found anywhere in the world.
I love the outdoors and go kayaking, western riding and wall climbing in my spare time. Influenced by my stay in the UK, I'm a great fan of English folk music and anything acoustic.
However much I like being at home in my own place, I do feel the urge to get out and see the world every so often.
