I am the owner and host of Bainbridge Island Ink, a studio apartment in a quiet neighborhood with partial views of Puget Sound and beach access. My vision is to provide a private, quiet and lovely environment where writers, artists, and other creatives can stay on retreat, relax, and be inspired. I also offer editing and writing coaching to writing guests.
My husband and I designed and remodeled our retreat studio, and are bringing our mid-century modern home and surrounding gardens back to life. We are California natives who moved to Washington at Christmas 2011 and love it here.
I hold a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Seattle Pacific University and am certified to lead writing workshops using the Amherst Writers and Artists method. My first book "Burnt Offerings" was published in January 2104.
I am the literary editor for Image Journal's daily Good Letters and volunteer with the Field's End writing community on Bainbridge Island.
To find out more about my writing and my business check out Bainbridge Island Ink or Cathy Warner on the Internet. I blog under the title "This or Something Better."
I enjoy hosting and providing a welcoming space for guests.
