I have about 75 reviews from guests, all positive, explaining how nice my place is and what a friendly and courteous host I am. Please read them--they speak for themselves. To put Keira's comments in perspective, I have to say she was the rudest guest I've hosted in 2 years on Airbnb. She arrived late, almost 2am, with little communication beforehand.. She was under the influence of alcohol on arrival (she said she wanted to have some drinks between the airport and my place). I was not "prepping" the apartment when she arrived.. in fact I was waiting up for her just so i could just go to bed! I had work early. On the day she left she had been out drinking late night and looked hungover and like she had little sleep.. When I went to say goodbye and offer to help with luggage (see my reviews; i help guests carry bags up and down 5 flights)...she slammed the door and left without a word. Odd. Apparently she was angry she couldn't leave her bags after checkout all day for free. My house rules on Airbnb clearly state this is a $20 fee-it's an added convenience for them and an inconvenience for me and my arriving guests. She stormed down the stairs with her luggage (that I intended to help with). I looked on the kitchen table where I tell guests to leave keys...they weren't there. So i called after her down two flights of stairs and asked where the keys were (apparently she perceived this as "screaming"). Finally she (reluctantly) told me where she left them -in an odd place in the bedroom-as she continued on in hungover misery.
As for the shower curtain -- there were some specks of hairdye on it (my secret revealed: i cover my gray!). It was not moldy. It has since been replaced. All she had to do was ask and i would gladly have changed it while she was here- i had two new curtains on hand.
Keira struck me as someone in her 40s still trying to party like a teenager, incapable of mature communication.
I hope she gets some help for her issues. Meanwhile if you want an accurate picture of me as a host- check out the 80 positive reviews below this one. Thanks.
