It is a very good b&b. Very recommended! Close to Galway but an oasis of tranquility, with the fantastic Salthill prom at 1 km from the b&b. Good breakfast and kind availability.
Absolutely lovely B&B in a great location, with very welcoming & warm hosts. Lovely conservatory to eat breakfast in, just perfect. Very strong Wifi signal too - very welcome.
What a warm and welcoming person Bernie was! We had a lovely time staying near Galway in her lovely home and garden. She made sure we had all that we needed and gave us tips to make our area visits a bit easier. We definitely recommend staying here. Thanks very much.
Response from Bernie:
Thank you Lisa for your lovely comments.
I will look into improving the wi-fi immediately as it is a very valid need in todays world to keep us all in touch
Bernie's home is absolutely gorgeous. She was friendly, very welcoming & breakfast was fantastic. We wish we had longer to stay! One night wasn't enough
Had a lovely time staying with Bernie, always very helpful, friendly, accommodating and the breakfasts were delicious. Will be sure to book in again if I'm ever in Galway.
Thanks for making me feel so welcome!!
My family (10 people total) ranged in age from 16 - 83 and we used every room in Bernie's house during our stay. Her house and garden were beautiful, as was the view of Galway Bay. The rooms were very comfortable and spacious, but the best part was that all of us could gather in her sunroom each day to visit! Bernie and her husband were great hosts who did everything to make our stay perfect. Thanks, Bernie and hope to see you again. Maime
PS - Rory says hi!
Lovely B&B, the true B&B experience! Bernie is friendly, helpful, and a great host. The house is clean and nicely decorated, with a huge, lovely glass room (conservatory) where you can take breakfast and enjoy the view across the garden towards the bay. The garden in June is stunning, with giant poppies, peonies and lupins all in flower. It's a few minutes walk to the Salthill beaches and to the town center, which has restaurants and shops. And it's a great starting off point for a trip into Connemara or into the Burren. Close to the Galway golf course.
We had a great night in Galway.
I had a lovely stay at Bernie's beautiful home. Her house is very warm and beautifully decorated. The bedrooms are extremely comfortable. The views of her garden and surrounding areas are gorgeous. Her hospitality was fantastic and I highly recommend staying at Four Winds Lodge. Bernie's Irish Breakfast was delicious too!;)
Bernie was a wonderful host. She extended herself in all aspects of my visit. She went above and beyond in arranging a tour for me at the very last minute, even had the tour bus stop down the road for me. The room was beautiful, and the view from the window fabulous. The location is as advertised, between Galway and Salt Hill, with bus stop just 2 minutes down the road.
