I am a native Californian, an artist and writer.
I've used other house rental/house sharing sites, but this was my 1st time using airbnb. I was staying in LA for the IMATS convention. My friend decided to come along and we needed an inexpensive, but pretty place to stay. Donna's apartment is in a great location of Santa Monica. It's close enough to the beach for a nice 15-20 minute walk. There are shops and restaraunts near by. What I loved about the her place was the vibe. SHe's an artist, so she had this amazing artwork all over. It has a very worldly, creative, positive energy vibe to it. And of course her dog, Grace, was such a sweetheart. Miss her already. And then there is Donna. She was so excited to have us. She gave us great recommendations about nearby places. She told us about some of her travels and experiences. She has a great aura about her. Overall, I would love to stay with Donna again.
Donna was a very accommodating, very easy going landlady. He apartment is located in a really great, convenient location. Close to Montana Avenue, walking distance to the beach and 3rd street promenade.
The apartment and room was very clean, warm and very comfortable.
Would definitely recommend and definitely stay again.
We are happy to spend the last day of 2012 with Donna. She is nice and considerate, and even invited us to join the new year party. My husband and I are her first airbnb guests. She tried to make us feel comfortable like at home. Her apartment is near Montana Ave. which is quite fancy. It takes about 25 minutes from the apartment to the beach, but it is quite a nice walking. It is an artist's home, the room is cozy. Thanks Donna, it is very nice to meet you.
