Hello and thanks for checking out my place.
My name is Jeff Meilander and I am a professional educator originally from Chesterland, OH. I currently work for Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, AZ as a lab instructor while running a non-profit, sustainable living and agricultural demonstration site called the Flagstaff EcoRanch.
I recently traveled to South America for four months to research hydroelectric energy, volunteer on sustainable farms, establish international educational partnerships, and while in Patagonia, guided high school students and wrote an outdoor curriculum. It was on this trip, that the foundational guidelines of the Flagstaff EcoRanch really began to develop. With this latest endeavor, it is my goal to further integrate myself into the Flagstaff community in order to raise awareness about environmental and sustainable issues and what actions can be made to improve the quality of life for our community members.
I am a highly motivated individual who thoroughly enjoys being involved in the progression of education and my local community. I love being in the outdoors hiking, rock climbing, snowboarding, or exploring. The money received through Airbnb will help fund future projects such as solar panels, water catchment systems, and greenhouses in order to design educational programs for local schools and organizations.
I look forward to having you at the Flagstaff EcoRanch and hope that while here, not only will you be able to immerse yourself in the natural beauty, but learn more about the Flagstaff community and my approach to sustainable living.
Have a great day and I hope to see you soon.
