This has been my first unsettling airbnb experience after 7 years hosting and being a guest. Ahmed was warned and understood prior to renting that following some recent renovations there might be some minor issues in one of the bathrooms. To make his stay as comfortable as possible, we were able to take the necessary steps to get it fixed on Christmas Eve, before his arrival, as well as get a cot delivered to the house. Unfortunately, this was still followed by a long series of complains via emails, and the refusal to address any pending issues directly with the person who was managing the apartment in my absence, and does so for a dozen properties so is very used to addressing the needs of international guests. He even suggested adding some extra heaters if needed, but then never heard back from Ahmed.
I came back home to find the apartment warm, the hot water running fine, so was perplexed and of course saddened by this bad experience.
