I am a German (born 1981 in Bremen) with a sweet Chilean-German daughter (born Oct 2012), who decided to open up her home for travellers from all over the world. We have four guest rooms in the main house and two simple indoor camping dorm rooms in an anexed building. We share common area and kitchen with our guest. Together with our colleagues Katherine (in charge of your reservations and your well being during your stay) and Joaquín (stays in the evenings, so the ladies can spend time with their kids), our two dogs (Máximo and Aruna) and our cat (Ñaña), we would like to become part of your journey and make you feel at home.
We try to make our live and your stay as sustainable as possible! As part of this, we would like to offer you our delicious and healthy breakfast that consists of local products like whole grain bread (made by a friend of ours), butter, cheese (from a near by farm) and different marmalades (cooked by our cleaning lady), fruits, fresh milk (from the farm, if avialble), yogurt and real coffee, for only $ 3.500, per person and day. Nope, definately and proundly NOT compareble with a "good basic Bacon n Egg McMuffin"! We count on local foods and pay fair prices to our providors.
Please note that we live in a typical southern Chilean wooden house. Most people find the fire place, the noise of the wood, the wind and the chatting of other guests cozy. We are NOT a hotel and don´t claim to be one! We love to share with our guest, help them find the right activities during their stay and invite them to get to know eachother. Additionally, we have taken up the feedback and installed additional heating and now count with a cleaning lady, who ensures the tidyness during your stay. We insist that wasting water to wash your socks by hand in the sink is not alined with our sustainable thinking. Apart from full-load washing service, we have no problem with adding a pair of your undies and socks or a shirt to our washing, free of charge. Just a matter of asking :) We have contracted the fastest internet conection in town - however, there is no fibre optic in Pucón, so it is generally slow, especially in high season. Sorry. it´s quiet distrubing for us "Puconinos" too, but I guess that is why people come to Pucón to relax a bit from cyber-life ;) Unfortunately, during high season, Pucón gets very crowded and any establishment in or close to town will suffer from teenagers enjoying night life in the streets.
