I am a son, brother, husband, dad, entrepreneur, boxer, golfer, author, mentor and technology fanatic. From my rented house in 2000 I founded a company that a decade later would become WhatCounts. Through a series of innovative growth strategies that included seven acquisitions the company has grown into one of the largest email marketing firms in the world delivering billions of targeted messages on four continents in over 35 languages.
Through the years the company has received numerous awards including three times being named an Inc. 500 company representing the fastest growing enterprises in the United States. In 2009, the Technology Association of Georgia named WhatCounts one of the state’s most innovative companies. The company has also consistently ranked among Atlanta’s Pacesetters representing the city’s fastest growing private companies. In 2010 WhatCounts partnered with a global multi-billion dollar private equity firm to help the team reach new heights.
I have had opportunities that don't matter, such as the being mentioned the prerequisite amount of times in the paper, or listed in the most this, or the youngest that. I have also had opportunities that do matter, like having amazing mentors and working with crazy smart team members.
I am the first person in my family to attend college, so I am especially proud of my education. My community time, or karma investing is focused on "first generation college bound students", participating in Young President's Organization (YPO), and helping to launch new businesses at Georgia Tech's ATDC and FlashPoint programs.
