I live in Berlin, work in book publishing and also interested in Art.
Looking forward to meeting you!
Our host was extremely helpful prior to our visit, answering our questions promptly. Everything was as he said it would be. The apartment is incredibly well located, right in the centre, and easy to access all the sites you may want to visit. It is also near the underground and although we didn't use the trams, they too were frequent. It is very simply arranged. Everything worked and it was warm and comfortable. Our host was very accommodating about our arrival and departure times. We would highly recommend it.
The flat is very well located, it is impossible to be better. It is very spacious, my sister and I had plenty of space to open our big bags! We were very well received by Michael's friend, who showed us everything in a very practical way, so we didn't even had questions after that! Everything was really nice, except for the floor that was a bit dusty, but all the rest was pretty clean. We didn't stay very long in Berlin, so we couldn't really enjoy the flat, but it had everything that we needed, even hair dryer and all kitchen gear. I recommend this flat for sure!
We stayed here for a week in mid September. Very good location for our first visit to Berlin. The apartment had everything we needed, with good WIFI. We didn't use the TV so can't comment on that. Small balcony was an asset. Plenty of places to eat around here, and supermarkets too. Close to river which was nice. One issue was the amount of construction going on in the vicinity- that was a bit noisy.
Our first visit to Berlin and we could not have stayed at a better location. All our needs for accommodation were fully met and more with the wifi available! Michael himself was an excellent host with his communications before during and after our stay to ensure all was in order. And the cherry on top was the complimentary bottle of wine and chocolate bar. I have and will continue to make a point of telling anyone I know looking for a place to stay in Berlin.
Great location! The Nikolas Viertal is charming and quiet and full of history, but still in the Mitte within easy access to the information center where all tours begin. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony watching the cafes fill each evening.
It was great to have our own kitchen and laundry after a few weeks on the road and the bed was great. We made use of the coffee maker and coffee provided. There was even a bottle of wine chilling in the fridge!
Michael was great about answering all our questions and we enjoyed meeting him on arrival.
The apartment is quite basic and perhaps not for older couples wanting more of a hotel experience, but it ticked all the boxes for our visit.
GREAT location to use for Berlin Marathon/Races/ or just visiting Berlin !
1. Descent coffee Machine :-)
2. Supermarket down the street :-)
3. Location :-)
4. Easy going host/lots of goodies in apartment (maps, extras)
5. Clean, Easy and enjoyable. :-)
6. Washing machine-which I used :-) and lots more.....
Delightful location, clean and simple. The bed was comfortable, room big enough and you had everything you needed (including extra shower gels, some food and even a bottle of wine for me leftover from the previous guests).
I used the apartment for a 'running race' that I did in Berlin (Berlin Wall 100 mile). I would use this location again for Berlin marathon or anything like this. Actually the location, price and what it offers makes the perfect weekend stay or place to use as a good base for Berlin.
Alexanderplatz is super close (2-3 blocks).
Netto Supermarket is just down the road for beer and coffee supplies.
Lots of places to eat.
Some of the small things worth noting.
- TV is fairly old. Not a deal breaker but when I finished my run I was marooned for a while watching tv.
- Curtains are fairly light, so if your a light sleeper bring night shades.
Having never been to Berlin, we had no idea where to stay. We chose this flat due to its location in Mitte. It's not in a super hip or cool neighborhood, but it is convenient and quiet. It was nice, clean, and cute. The balcony was great, and with the hot weather it was so nice to be able to sleep with the big windows open. Plus, we loved hearing the church bells chiming in the morning!
Michael met us at the apartment and welcomed us with wine and chocolate. He was super helpful with all our questions, and just a funny and nice down-to-earth guy. We were quite happy with our stay, and would highly recommend it.
Michael was the perfect host for the perfect place to stay in Berlin. The apartment had everything we needed, the bed was comfortable (especially the pillows!), everything in the kitchen worked well, and the bathroom was great. The neighbourhood is safe and quiet, with many restaurants nearby. We were able to walk to almost everything we wanted to see, and public transportation is so easy to use and close to the apartment. There is a grocery store just up the road, which is great for extended stays. Michael took the time to talk about beautiful Berlin and gave us some great tips for seeing the city. When we go back, we will definitely seek out Michael's place again!
michael's apartment is in a great location and has everything we needed for a comfortable stay in Berlin. He is very accommodating and gave us very good, specific directions to the apartment, which is a short walk from Alexanderplatz station. He was also generous in sharing tips in terms of the different parts of this vast city. A very positive experience!
This flat had perfect set-up, very comfortable, very central, well-equipped. Michael was extremely helpful. No complaints at all. Thanks!
Michael is a very nice and clean guy! I recommend him to the whole airbnb community.
Michael was an awesome guest. Everything was easy with him from the minute he arrived to the moment he left; polite, friendly. He left the place clean. I can recommend him to everyone in Airbnb community.
