Yvonne and her friends were nice enough but reckless and irresponsible. They had a fire in the fire pit which is against the rules. Austin is still in the worst drought in recorded history. There was fire starter trash left in the yard. And an empty charcoal lighter bottle was tossed randoml. They had to dig around one of my 2 sheds to even find starter fluid. Not cool. Two solar lamps were melted on the rocks the other 2 were in pieces. There were 2 pieces of tile were broken off the bathroom cabinet.
They asked the guest in the big house for their key as a spare. Pretty ridiculous thinking the two keys matched. You would think it would be returned once that discovery was made. Because it wasn't, I had to write the other guest and ask her to mail back her key. She told me they asked for it. The other guest was a repeat guest and very responsible. I'm not sure why any of the 4 people would think they would match or why she gave it to them under any circumstances.
It was the Fun,Fun,Fun Festival weekend. It always brings in young partiers, I've just never had a problem before.
On the upside, my wood frame house didn't burn down.
Yvonne and her friend Natalie stayed with me during the SXSW Music Festival. Another perfect Airbnb match! We quickly discovered we all had friends in common! Coordination around check-in and out was seamless, house was kept in great shape. Come back again!
