I am a 58 year old female ~ I am self employed as a Massage Therapist and I live in San Diego, California. I have a small garden and love to be at home, and I enjoy adventures with friends and on my own. I am starting to volunteer with a local Hospice organization. There is more, of course, :D I do have family all over the world and so have had several wonderfull trips visiting them over the years.
I often travel alone and enjoy exploring historical places in Europe, but have had the opportunity to travel to India and Nepal, Cambodia and Hong Kong, and here and there, and have found that everywhere I go I enjoy the people, the culture and the food and clothes!!!
5 things that I can't live without? (question prompted by admin...) Chocolate, comfortable shoes, my family and friends, cell phone, earplugs!
My life motto is "I Love My Life!" I am gratefull for all the experiences that I have had, and for all the people that I have met along the way because I do believe that 'it takes a village' of caring people to help me live my best life and I love to be part of that village for everyone else.
I don't drink or smoke, I love dogs and cats and generally all wildlife, and children too. I use (website hidden) a lot to stay in touch with loved ones, but I also love being with people, and this opportunity to travel to visit my family in France and to attend my cousin's wedding in Geneva is a delightfull treat for me!
I hope this gives you an idea or two about me, please message me with any questions!
Looking forward to all the great airbnb adventures to come!!! :D
Thank you, Glen
Update Feb 2013 - I'm heading to Salt Lake City, UT for a gathering with my Spiritual Family for teachings and learnings - and the road trip is a big part of the whole deal for me... I prefer not to stay in a hotel situation, and look forward to finding a cozy home to stay in, maybe make new friends, and offer stories and a bit of visiting time in exchange for a safe and welcoming place to rest after my days of learning. Thanks!
Update May 2013
Heading to Long Island, NY for a ceremony at the Cradle of Aviation Museum - my Grandparents were Aviation Pioneers back in the Golden Age of Aviation on Long Island, and the Museum is honoring my Grandmother with a plaque as a LI local. I am only going to be in the area for 3 days, but will use this trip to explore LI, see the Statue of Liberty, and make plans for another visit - New York has always been on my 'visit' list! Thanks Airbnb and participants for making accommodations friendly, safe and easy!
