The whole experience with Aggelos was just excellent. He is trustworthy, affordable, extremely helpful (with ANYTHING), friendly and always finds solutions to unexpected problems. The room itself is big (with big balcony), in a student dorm, could be slightly cleaner. The all in all experience is 5 out of 5 stars though.
Aggelos was great! the apartment was as promised, very well located and very nice. I highly recommend to stay in his apartment, he was very helpful as well. Thanks Aggelos!!!
I really satisfied my stay with Aggelos Kappos at Aggelos' house. Aggelos accompanied my from metro station to the living place, special thanks for that. Living place was in pretty good condition and and in good place. Thanks.
Aggelos is a most welcoming guy. Since he was tied up when I landed he left the key for me in a hidden spot so I could let myself in. He then came by a couple of hours later and we chatted; he explained everything to me and gave me general directions and tips about the area.
The room is located in the university dormitories. It has two separate single beds ( maybe not the ideal place for a romantic couple) and has a large balcony overlooking a pine forest. The location is both quiet and safe at night. Coming home by taxi at night should cost you no more than 5 euros. For me, as I spent just over a week in Athens, the location was ideal, as it enabled me to get away from the noise and traffic of central Athens.
I really enjoyed my stay in Aggelos's studio/room and would go back in a heartbeat.
The host canceled my reservation the day before arrival.
Aggelos is a very nice and accommodating host. We had a small communication problem before my arrival so things started a little rough. The location was hard for the taxi driver to find. The location is in a dormitory...it is a dorm room with it's own bathroom. But because I didn't fully understand this, it was not easy to find. Aggelos was very available and helpful by phone to get me to the right place. He made himself available by phone for my stay, in case I had any questions. In terms of the accommodations, I feel that it is a little over-priced for the type of room and the location.
Aggelos was a good host. We eneded up missing the flight and taking a boat instead, but he was great in trying to help accommodate us. I"m sure anyone who encounters him will be pleased with their experience.
I stayed at Aggelos's place in Athens for a week. He is most friendly, welcoming and trusting guy; upon my arrival, he had left me the key so I could check in before he got back from sports training. His room is best suited for a couple of people or perhaps a solo traveller.
I would recommend Aggelos' place to anyone who is looking for a quiet place barely 7 mins by taxi (two stops on the metro) from the heart of Athens. After each day in the heat and action of the city center, I was happy to find a place where I could throw open the balcony door and listen to the sound of the cicadas in the neighbouring park.
