I attended Parsons School of Design majoring in
painting and received my BFA in 1979.
I lived in the East Village of NYC for 33 years. In the 80's -90's I exhibited my paintings in solo & group shows in NYC and the United States and was fortunate to receive reviews from prestigious publications like Artforum, Artnews, Art in America, Flash Art, NY Times, Art & Antiques and The Village Voice among others.
In 1985, I created a cutting edge "Learning through Art" curriculum for toddlers and founded "Little Darlings Academy". LDA was featured several times in the New York Times as one NYC's best early childhood educational programs. The Lower Manhattan Community Council commended the program as a cultural asset to the community. I served on the Board of the Children's Art Program at The Guggenheim Museum.
In 1991, I founded "Art-in-Orbit" Inc., a small manufacturing company creating innovative items for kids and adults, featuring the cult classic "Glow Dog." (Much to my surprise when I recently joined Face Book I was notified that there was a Fan club called the "Glow Dog People"!)
In 1995 I was on a film set & addicted... I had always been fasinated in film and art direction. I begged people to let me work for free so I could learn the craft. My training as a Designer, Set Decorator and Art Director started on no-budget & low budget projects leading to Music Videos then to Indie's, Television & Films. "In America" Directed by Jim Sheridan was my favorite; Television; The Sopranos, "30 Rock" and Countless Commercials.
In in 1999 I bought a vacation home in Sullivan County. By 2007 I wanted to find a way to spend more time in the country. My passion for design inspired me to open a shop in Jeffersonville. Most recently I fell in love with a gorgeous property across the street from my home a few years ago & dreamed of having a B&B .... Welcome to Gosling Pond!
