Dawn's place had a beautiful view and was close to the University of Hawaii. Communication was a little rough, but if you use her airbnb e-mail it should work best. She was good about calling and helping us find the place and settle in. We didn't have new sheets ready and the place wasn't the cleanest I have ever seen, but she was nice and we appreciated having the place to stay.
It was exactly what I expect... If you like every photo and description come and book now!! Dawn is very very very VERY friendly and helpfully...
Convenient location, nice host, very sweet dog. Fresh mangoes every day from the tree in the yard. Mahalo Dawn!
Dawn is extremely nice, fun, and welcoming. I had a great time at the aloha house!
The directions to the place were fairly good but it was still a little difficulty to find. The room we had was okay but we thought we would have the room with the half bath. Their was another couple there at the same time with one of them being a slob by getting water all over and not wiping it up, which took away from a good experience. The parking was a bit difficult as sometimes we had to park over a block away. The complex could have used more upkeep as there was rotting fruit on the ground that was not picked up. Our host Dawn was friendly. Coko their dog was great,
Dawn is absolutely a wonderful host, warm-hearted and very helpful. The room is spacious, soft bed, and the shared bathroom is nearby. Good location to gas station and convenient store. Highly recommend!
As mentioned by others Dawn was a gracious host . We stayed only one night and left early morn. She told us the cockroach problem is being delt with now so this was the reason the floors were not cleaned. Chocolate the dog really is a well behaved sweetheart.
Dawn is a GREAT hostess. She is very personable and genuinely cares about your needs. She is laid back and just an all-around great person to chat with. I wish I could say the same for her apartment. Yes, it is local to everything. Everything I needed was nearby (cleaners, RAMEN, breakfast, lunch, 7/11 - everything) however I just could not get a good night's rest due to all the cockroaches! My bf and I never directly complained to her, but it was definitely a nuisance. The bathroom, kitchen and our room had an uncomfortable amount. We stored food in her fridge, but decided not to eat it anymore after figuring roaches can still go inside, so we always ate out. I opened the shower curtain to shower, and a roach fell from the curtains, caught back onto the curtain, and climbed back up!! I couldn't shower in peace w/o feeling like a roach was going to fall on me. I slept stuffing toilet paper in my ears just to make sure none decided to nest in there. If you're curious, the huge tropical roaches were outside of the apartment, and the smaller kinds were the ones that nestled inside. I don't think I would come back and stay here again, but will definitely keep in touch next time we visit. She really is a great person to chat with.
Dawn is a lovely host. She's very friendly and goes out of her way to make your stay comfortable; whether it's cutting a piece of aloe vera for sunburned skin or welcoming us with a welcome beer. We spent lots of time talking with her about wide-ranging topics.
We stayed at her place in the heat of the cockroach infestion and the only reason there were still cockroaches is because all the cockroach-termination companies were busy (there are cockroaches everywhere in tropical Hawai'i!)
We really appreciated her concerns in making us feel comfortable, despite the cockroaches.
Again, she's a caring and lovely host and we enjoyed meeting her (and Chocolate, and Ave, and little Isabella who was visiting).
It's my first time to live in bnb. Dawn is a very kind host, and I had a very wonderful experiance in Hawaii. The place was comfortable for me, and I slept very well during the whole week. Chocolate is a very cute dog, and sometimes she may get crazy. It's very interesting for me~
