Lovely family, Maria is super nice. The location is convenient to public transportation, cabs, grocery stores, etc....It's definitely out of the main tourist area, but I like that. I would stay here again if I go back to Lima.
I had to dock them accuracy points though because the listing said breakfast was included (it was not), there was a washer and dryer (there's actually just a washing machine, no dryer), and that there was strong internet signal everywhere in the house (it was spotty at best). Besides those few things though, I enjoyed my stay.
Thanks Cate for accurate evaluation. We appreciate your honest input and will improve in the areas you pinpointed. Best wishes, Jacek.
Yacek, his wife and kids are absolutley wonderful! So kind, helpful and happy. I highly recommend anyone staying in Lima to give the guys a try. You will not be disapointed.
Beautiful people and beautiful home to stay!
Jacek and Maria have wonderful children where everybody live very friendly, help to each other and they do the same for their guests. It is the real example of the perfect family! :) I never felt like a guest there.
My room was cozy and full of light. I could use the kitchen and garden any time. There are 2 big supermarkets 5 minutes walk away. 15-20 minutes by bus to Miraflores. Quiet and safe area.
Highly recommended! :)
I had a very nice stay with Jacek and his super nice family. They were all very helpful in guiding me around the big city and suggesting things for me to do to keep me busy. The accommodation is spacious and clean and the neighborhood is safe and well located. I had a great time and would stay again.
The time with Jacek and his familie was the end of my 3-month-trip. It was the first time i felt a little bit like home. Everbody was helpful and friendly, but also i felt private. It was great to share the kitchen and the garden. In 20 min. you can be in the main places of the city, like Miraflores or Barranco and it was very easy. So it was a great time, thank you!
In my opinion this was the petfect spot to stay. I dont speak a lot of Spanish & loved that so much help was available in English. Great area. And gives you a feel of real Lima. I wish I had found this place sooner. I loved my time here. Best place I stayed in Peru in a month for many reasons.
Staying with Jacek and Maria was great. I have been traveling for many years and this was an experience that should not be missed. They are a wonderful international family with children who are beyond exceptional. The area is quiet and safe. People are very friendly. I had no problem as a woman walking to a restaurant at 11pm. I will be back!
My stay here was great, especially because of the hospitality of my hosts, a young couple doing missionary work in Peru. The room, while not large, was comfortable, and the house in general was most comfortable and secure. The house is located in a very safe neighborhood of Lima close to Barranco and Miraflores. The best part is that the neighborhood is QUIET. Another plus is that the new metro line is two blocks away, near a Wong's. There are great shopping areas five minutes away and bus service to any part of Lima is nearby on Marzano Avenue. In general the price for the room considering all the positives is an unmatched value. I look forward to staying with Jacyk and Maria the next visit to Lima if there is not a long waiting list.
We have stayed with Jacek and his family for a few days. Very friendly people, very polite children, nice home, a great experience in Lima.
Well I know Jacek and his wife for some time, we worked together in Poland and Russia with humanitarian aid projects. He is very decent man, honest and very hard working. I very much like the work he is doing now in Peru with his family to help the poor children.
