My wife and I had a great experience at Cheryl and Bill's cottage. The accommodations were impeccable and the location is great. There are plenty of trails off of the property and the apartment is close to Brattleboro.
Bill and Cheryl have a great cottage, and are great hosts! The cottage itself was tidy, cozy, and warm, and the two of them were extremely friendly and attentive to anything we needed. But the real highlight is the surrounding wilderness, and the miles of secluded and scenic trails that cut through it. Overall, a wonderful getaway to the countryside that I would highly recommend!
My girlfriend and I spent our anniversary at the house and had an incredible time. It was set pretty far back in the woods but right across from Bill and Cheryl's home, and only about a ten minute drive to the grocery store. The house is surrounded by a few miles of trails that wind through the woods, which we made good use of. It is also less than an hour's drive to a lot of other mountain hikes. The house itself was perfectly designed for a couple to stay in. It was nice and warm and even had a tempurpedic bed. Bill and Cheryl were also very welcoming and were willing to help with anything we needed.
This wonderful cottage is tucked away in the woods in the small town of Brattleboro. As a NYC resident I couldn't have asked for anything more for a weekend retreat. All rooms were immaculate and very warm despite any frigid temperatures outside. Their surrounding yard provides picturesque views of nature tight from the bedroom. Cannot recommend enough.
We had a wonderful stay at the cottage! We arrived after dark but the key was in the door, which was so nice because it allowed us to take our time on our road trip getting there. The cottage was warm, clean, and had everything we needed, including a delicious bowl of pecans and fruit! The bed was comfortable, the tiled shower was great, and we really enjoyed being able to make our own dinner and breakfast in the kitchen. My boyfriend was very happy to find coffee and milk for the morning too. The cottage is very peaceful and connects to a beautiful trail system in the woods. We went for a hike in the morning and warmed up next to the fireplace before heading out. A great first Airbnb experience - thank you!
Truly a relaxing experience at the "end of the road", Cheryl and Bill's rental was clean, quiet, cozy, very warm, and inviting. They made us feel very welcome and told us about hidden hikes in the area and the yearly craft festival. We love being able to hike right from the house.
This was my first time using airbnb and it was great. Cheryl was really helpful and provided quick responses to any questions I had. The 'in-law suite' was really cute and cozy - perfect for a short getaway.
I thought I was lost but Cheryl called out to me--they are truly at the end of the road in the woods! She could not have been more gracious and welcoming; Bill was playing at a wedding. The cottage is a stand alone and very nice--beautiful shower and charming fireplace in sitting area. I consider the experience a blessing.
We were delighted with this thoughtfully put together little place. Can't beat the setting and our hosts were very welcoming and gracious.
A beautiful and relaxing place to stay. The hosts were so helpful. We came down the night before the tough mudder and wish we had had time to take advantage of the fun trails and gorgeous gardens. A side note here: It took us 50 minutes to get to Mt Snow from this house, the description said 30. We took the backroads and drove at the speed limit but maybe there was an extra short cut we missed.
Other than that this place is wonderful.. Fresh berries and homemade granola, milk and coffee.. the shower is so beautiful and gorgeous. Enjoy!
