Gorgeous funky open home. Immediately upon walking in we knew we were in New Orleans. Comfortable beds and good showers. We loved being on Frenchman St. So many fantastic music venues and bars within a few blocks. But with that you do get a little noise pollution late at night and early in the morning with garbage trucks, but nothing unbearable. Overall a fantastic stay.
Deborah's house was even nicer than advertised, and perfect for our four night stay in New Orleans. The house is located just a block from some of the French Quarter's best Jazz venues, and an easy walk to Bourbon Street, the French Market and a street car line. Light sleepers should bring ear plugs, because you'll definitely hear the nightlife happening outside your window. Deborah was accommodating and helpful with local suggestions, and kept in contact throughout our stay. We 100% recommend this charming and intriguingly decorated mansion, and hope to make it home next time in New Orleans!
Deborah's house is the way to go for an authentic live-in-NOLA experience. The home is at a prime location. There's a parking spot if you choose to bring a car. Her home is decorated so interestingly. Just know that there are basically 2 flights of stairs to the bedroom.
Deborah's place was the ideal AirBnB experience. She could not have been more accommodating and the house was perfection. The space is exactly as described; the courtyard garden provides a great hang out spot and inside, the book and music collection can keep you occupied for hours. Moreover, the location only adds to ambience, by far the coolest and most entertaining street/area/neighborhood I encountered in my travels. Do enjoy and partake in this unique experience. As I will continue to tell everyone interested in traveling to New Orleans, Deborah's place is the only place I want to stay during my future visits.
We loved Deborah's home! The location can't be beat and there was plenty of space for our group of three couples. It's much larger than it appears in the photos. The space is incredibly curated with art everywhere. We would absolutely stay here again. We went without a car and it was easy to walk to everything from the house. Deborah was such a great host. She's nearby and available if you need.
The house was fabulous and in the perfect location to fit our needs. We really enjoyed our stay! It was a great beginning to our family vacation before the Cruise!
Deborah’s house is simply amazing – not only is it bright and spacious, but her collection of books and music can keep you entertained for days. It has all the comforts of home, but almost feels like you’re in a museum with interesting artifacts everywhere you look. I stayed here with a group of friends, and we all agreed that this house was a million times better than any hotel. It’s also in a perfect location – all the sights and sounds of New Orleans are just a short walk away. Definitely recommend!
Spacious and filled with stimulating art and artifacts. Close to the Frenchman Street music clubs, an area far preferable to the Quarter. Also near cool, offbeat places in Maringy and Bywater, including their delightful restaurants and bars. Hands down, my best airbnb experience yet.
I came to New Orleans for work and fun. I was able to work with my team at a large table, preparing for an appellate argument. I stayed on to have fun over the weekend. We had a group of friends over for drinks one night and their unanimous response was "Wow!" In a city of small, confined spaces, Deborah's airy living room is like a beautiful breath of fresh air.
The house has a wonderful stereo system that can fill the space(with Deborah's large and eclectic collection of LPs), a spacious patio for hanging out in warm weather, a full kitchen suitable to cook a feast, three comfortable bedrooms on the second floor serviced by two bathrooms. Oh yes, and a piano too!
Deborah lives in an adjacent building when hosting guests and is instantly accessible whenever an issue arose. (The cold weather and New Orleans' creaky infrastructure threw us a curveball one day, but we survived.) She is cheery and warm and will tip you off to the best and coolest places.
Deborah made us feel very welcomed in her house. She gave us some great recommendations and was extremely friendly. The house was better than described and very spacious. There were so many amenities such as a nice stereo system, a nice tv, a roku player, plenty of towels, kitchen supplies, etc. The patio was charming. It was my first time using Airbnb and wasn't sure what to expect, but it had everything we needed and it felt like home. The neighborhood was great! (Not too far from Bourbon, but still lively in an even better area near some great music and food.) This neighborhood was perfect for our group, but I can see it being a little "loud" for some people and/or families. With all that said, I definitely plan to go back to New Orleans and I hope that we are welcomed back to Deborah's lovely house.
Fabulous experience ! Can't wait to come back.
was a wonderful guest. She was very personable I enjoyed speaking with her and she was very clean. I enjoyed having her as a guest a great deal and I believe she will be a great guest wherever she chooses to stay in the future. I highly recommend her.
It was a nice experience to host Deborah and family! Communication was great and the apartment was left clean and tidy. We had a plumbing issue and everyone in their party was gracious and patient. We welcome Deborah anytime at the ChairHouse in Boulder, CO!
