Hey, I'm Rob!

Although I don't have much experience with airbnb, I do have an extensive profile and positive references on couchserfing's website. Unfortunately airbnb won't let me post the link to my couchserfing profile apparently (I even had to misspell it to pass their filter's, wow... replace the 'e' with a 'u' and add a dot and an org), but you can find me on that site under the username berkeleydiego. Or feel free to text me and I'll reply with the link so you can view all my references. Below I've copied/pasted the bulk of my cs profile so you can learn a little bit about me in the meantime

Interests:
pogs
yodeling
playing the mouth harp
tiddlywinks
monkeywalking
squirrelfighting
prison rules basketball
formula one tractor racing
hoverboarding

alright, seriously: I have an addiction to my Fender Strat electric guitar. I should be way better than I am given how long I've played (my problem is that I play instead of practice)
I'd rather read than watch TV, although I admittedly watch way too much sports.
I play a mean game of chess, am a streaky pool player, and a veteran of various card games.
I'm always up for a pickup game, be it basketball, ultimate frisbee, softball, tennis, volleyball...
or any outdoor activity, be it mountain biking, snowboarding, rock climbing, snorkeling, kayaking.
I'm a man of a million hobbies, and always looking to pick up a new one.
Philosophy
- It all works out in the end.
- Positive thoughts induce positive results.
- Enjoy the ride.
- The people in your life should always be priority number one.
Music, Movies, Books
Movies:
Everyone has that one movie that they can recite every line from. Ever since I can remember that movie has been Back To The Future.
My favorite genre of movies though is drama. I like abstract flicks that have a touch of indie flavor to them. A movie that makes you think is a good movie in my book. On the other side of the coin, I love laughing to absurd comedies. Some titles that come to mind are:
Memento
Crash
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Waking Life
Fight Club
Garden State
Office Space
Super Troopers
SuperBad
Harold and Kumar
Malibu's Most Wanted

Music:
I have too many favorite bands, so it's probably better to list genres here along with one representative band for each genre.
90's rock (Stone Temple Pilots)
Funk Rock (Red Hot Chili Peppers)
Reggae Rock (Common Sense)
Alternative Rock (311)
Brit Rock (The Doves)
Hip-Hop (Jurassic 5)
Midwestern Basement Hip-Hop (RJD2)
House (Daft Punk)
Trance (Paul Oakenfold)
Trip-Hop (Frou Frou)
The Beatles (Sargeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band) - yes, they deserve their own genre

My favorite books were all the classics I read in high school from Catcher in the Rye to Crime & Punishment. Sadly, I've forgotten so much from them. Lately, however, I've been into a lot of non-fiction. The last few books I've paged through have been:
The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People
4 Hour Work Week
Into the Wild
The Jesus I Never Knew
Zen Mind, Beginner's Mind
Types of People I enjoy: Sarcastic, Witty, Goofy, Stimulating, Good-hearted people
