Hello! We're a Californian-French apartment of Stanford graduate students. We're looking forward to meeting our guests.
Brad and Marine ware both very welcoming and even though I spent only one night they both made me fill very comfortable. the location was great , and even though they are moving the place was very tidy.
I would recommend staying with Brad and Marine were ever they may be.
Both interesting conversation and a nice clean place RIGHT by downtown Palo Alto.
Exactly as advertised.
Cozy place. The space is smaller than what appears from the picture, but that is probably a common occurrence. My hosts promptly gave me clean sheets, towels and a welcome note. They were very quiet. So quiet indeed that I barely saw Brad during my 2 day stay. No problems whatsoever, just some noise from the proximity to the Caltrain track.
I was in town to help manage a retreat we were hosting for the Pebble Watch's community of developers. Brad and Marie were very gracious hosts, and the accommodations were cozy, accurate, and conveniently located.
My schedule sadly kept me from seeing my hosts very often, but they were always pleasant and available to answer questions online and by phone.
Had a great time with Brad and Marine, they're super friendly and fun to talk with. I will definitely try to stay there again in the future if I'm ever back in town!
Brad was away during my stay, but his better half Marine was very nice and welcome. She was very accommodating and easy to talk to. Check in was not a problem, and I just left the keys on the table on my way out. The room and the apartment are cozy, but I was just looking for a place to rest my head in the evening for a few days, so that was no problem. The room faces a busy street and the train tracks, which startled me at first, but I got used to it and, after the first few nights, expected it. The location, of course, is top rate.
Very friendly and welcoming hosts. They were very accommodating and easy to talk to. Check in and check out were a breeze. The room and the apartment were a bit cozy but very clean and comfortable. The room faces a busy street and the train tracks, but I'm a heavy sleeper so didn't have any problems. The location is pretty ideal for Palo Alto: just steps to the caltrain and California Ave, an easy walk or free shuttle to Stanford and short bike ride to University St.
I only had a short stay of one night. As others have commented, the apartment is small but quite nice and well located near the train station and its associated downtown area. I had only two complaints: first, in addition to the occasional train noise, there is a considerable amount of road noise even well into the night, and, second, the Venetian blinds do not block out enough street light for my taste. If you are a light sleeper like myself, then you might want to look elsewhere.
The house, bed and guests were cool. The house is on Alma street which drains a lot of traffic day and night, and there's also a train station so we can hear the trains honk 24/7.
And that's the bad part: the room is near the road and the rails so we can sleep only with earplugs.
That being said we had a few occasions to meet Brad and Marine. They left a very sweet message for us with all the instructions, samples and towels. We saw Brad the night before we left and Marine on the departure, and they were so nice we regret we didn't have the chance to spend more time with them!
Very friendly hosts. I felt at home, they even lent me their bike! With bike the centre of Palo Alto and the campus ( with the house of my son) were easy to visit. Next year I will go back.
Brad has been a wonderful guest. He was quick to communicate and left our condo in a very good and clean condition. I highly recommend him to all other Airbnb hosts.
