I have lived in San Francisco for six years, and loved living in Nob Hill with its charming restaurants, coffee shops and markets.

Ali's apartment was perfect for a short stay in a great neighborhood in San Francisco. The view from the roofdeck is indeed beautiful, and was a nice place to relax when I returned from the office! The apartment was clean and comfortable and Ali was very communicative in booking/checking in/checking out. Would definitely stay again!
Ali's place is delightful. Right in the heart of Nob Hill, it offers a quintessential San Francisco experience, with great views of in all directions, a charming neighborhood, nearby cable cars, and easy walking to lots of restaurants and other neighborhoods. The apartment itself was very clean and comfortable. Furniture was minimal yet adequate. Roof top terrace was a great place for morning coffee. I never saw Ali but communication with her was quick and easy, as were arrival and departure, which involved keys in a lock box at the front gate. I highly recommend Ali's place. I'd happily stay here again.
We had a wonderful stay at Ali's place in Nob Hill. The area is very steep so we would not recommend the location to anyone with difficulties walking up and down steep hills. BUT, being on top of a hill provides for wonderful views. After a couple nights in Napa Valley, we came back to Ali's and enjoyed some wine on the roof top deck overlooking downtown and the bay! So wonderful. The bed is very comfortable and the condo is clean. The closet was empty so we were able to unload our suitcases for our week long trip. We were able to easily walk to Trader Joe's for breakfast food and snacks to keep at the condo but also loved eating out at all of the nearby restaurants. The condo is very centrally located and we walked/ran/biked pretty much everywhere we went. We only took the bus a few times, but there are stops very close to the condo. Our vacation was very busy so it was nice to have a "home base" to rest and relax. Thanks Ali!
Ali's apartment was just as described: quiet, spacious, full kitchen and bathroom with a wonderful view from the living room and the balcony and a fabulous panaramic view from the rooftop deck. It was worth every penny to be so central: the weather was sunny and warm and we walked to nearly everything we wanted to see in the downtown area when we weren't touring farther afield with my wife's niece or my cousin who both live in the bay area. Ali was very quick to respond to our emails and his partner answered our phone call to immediately solve a difficulty for us (our problem not a problem with the apartment). There was juice and milk and eggs in the fridge (as well as gourmet coffee which unfortunately I can't drink) ready for our breakfasts. Their flexibility with the check out time allowed us to leave our things in the apartment until it was time to head back to the airport--very convenient since we didn't have a car. We had a delicious last minute lunch sitting in the warm sunshine at the little Italian cafe just around the corner from the street where the apartment is. As others have noted this is a great apartment for a special romantic occasion. (I also liked the roomy mirrored living room: great for doing yoga.) Finally, if you like walking I recommend the SF walking tours. We did three and would have liked to do more if we had had the time. They are free and super informative. No reservations required, you just go to the meet up location and meet the volunteer guide there. You can find (email hidden)e three that we did (downtown architecture, Victorian homes in the Lafayette Park area and the Coit Tower murals) were all within 20-25 minute walks from Ali's apartment. And, of course, just walking around in the sunshine looking at all the interesting buildings, people, stores and restaurants is fun. If you are considering this place, my advice is: go for it!
Ali was a very helpful and friendly host, communication was fast and she sent me a Word document with all the necessary info about the apartment. Ali was very flexible about my check in and check out times, which was very appreciated.
The views from the apartment and the roof are spectacular! Nob Hill is a nice and safe residential area, not necessarily as much character and street life as other areas like the Mission or the Haight but you'll still have everything you need and some nice shopping streets within walking distance, as well as being well served by public buses.
The bed was comfortable and the apartment had the basics for everything you would need.
Ali had a nice place with great views from the balcony and roof top deck. The place was clean and easy to get around providing a great workout on the hills around the Nob Hill neighborhood.
Ali's apartment was the perfect place for a weekend getaway. Loved the location, cleanliness and the views from the deck are outstanding! There were several restaurants and coffee shops in walking distance, just remember to bring comfortable shoes to tackle the SF hills. I would definitely visit Ali's place again.
When I wrote to enquire about renting this apartment I receved a very fast response and it was exactly what we were looking for and at a great rate!
Staying at Ali's apartment was like living in a spectacular fantasy! My boyfriend and I stayed here for New Years Eve. Ali herself was super nice and easy to get a hold of. She had an entire list of how to get into the apartment, what the place offers and great restaurants/markets to visit near the apartment. She was also very easygoing about when we checked in and checked out. Upon meeting her I had said "Oh we'll probably be out of the apartment most of the time...but after seeing the apartment things changed! The apartment itself was cozy, VERY CLEAN and joyful! It felt as if you were staying in a villa in some quite beach town...until you open the huge sliding glass doors that lead to a porch with one of the most amazing, jaw dropping views of San Francisco! From the balcony you could see a broad landscape of the city including coit tower, north beach, the ocean and more. But unbelievably, the view didn’t stop there. One level up from the apartment is a roof deck that has 360 degree views of all of the San Francisco waterfront and city. Anything sitting between the golden gate bridge and bay bridge was your landscape! It was surreal to be sitting in such a comfortable and quite place, yet looking out at such a beautiful and lively city. We watched the fireworks for NYE here and man did we have the million dollar view! All the neighbors were out on the roof deck chanting and counting down the seconds, it was a really fun time. I would recommend this apartment to anyone! I’m seriously in LOVE with it! What a trip!! Thank you so so much Ali!!
Hello! Ali and I have been friends for years. We were actually randomly placed together as college roommates, without knowing each other, almost 14 years ago (eek) and remain great friends. We also lived in the same building in San Francisco for several years before she moved into her place on Nob Hill where I have also spent a lot of time. The location is one of the best in the city, the views from the roof deck definitely ARE the best in the city and the apartment is perfect for anyone wishing to explore San Francisco. Beyond the great apartment, I can vouch for Ali being a responsible and reliable person in any aspect.
