My names Galina. I'm a new mum and I love to travel.
Cozy accommodations with two rooms and a living room/kitchen and a shared toilet. The house is clean and location very near the train station and the area around this apartment is vibrant and teeming with shops and cheap food available . Overall a very satisfactory stay.
Galina was very respectful of her guests privacy. The accommodation was clean and tidy for our arrival. Her home is well located, only a 2 min walk to the station. Return tickets into the city were only $5.
Given the close proximity to the train line there is a bit of noise from passing trains but it didn't disturb my sleep.
Galina (email hidden)e was always helpful and pleasant. All of our requirements were fulfilled.
The place was very clean. It was very quiet, even though it was close to the train station. It only took less than 15 minutes to the city by train and 5 minutes to Woolworth on foot.
I rent this place for my parents and cousin's family. They were all very happy with their stay and they all love Galina's adorable son.
Given the short notice and preparation, I was very luck to find Galina's place and have her as my host. I will definitely (email hidden) in the future.
So convenient! Right near Marrickville station and therefore about 15 mins to Sydney CBD! Plenty of parking on the road if you have a hire (website hidden) itself is quite new and in the garden of number 29. Clean unit with sitcom, free wifi and washing machine. Good shower in the bathroom. Would have preferred the tv in the living area rather than the bedroom.
Hosts were very friendly and responded to requests very quickly.
great location, very nice clean place, all the comforts of home really want for notting everything there. easy to get around all transport links on your doorstep great hosts.
Very clean house, convenient location and very nice hosts.
I stayed in the apartment for 9 nights and generally speaking, my stay was okay. I think the best thing about the apartment is its location. There is a big shopping mall, the broadway shopping centre right opposite the Unilodge where you can buy groceries. It is super convenient as the supermarket often opens until midnight. It takes around 15-20 minutes walking distance to Central Station which connects to other areas in Sydney(e.g. Bondi Beach) and other cities. Near the Central Station is 555 bus which is a free shuttle travelling along George St. (one of the major streets in Sydney).
As for the apartment, I was notified that the building was under construction, and there was a strong smell of thinner in the corridor. Plus, windows and blinds are advised to be close all the time and the room was very stuffy. The first five days of our stay were not very good as the weather is very hot. Galina later sent us a temporal air-conditioner to us. The pantry in the apartment is fine, with cups, glasses, a kettle, and two refrigerators. However, there is no pot/pan for cooking, and the kitchen near the lounge room only has stoves and sink. As for the internet connection, it is SO difficult to get it. Galina did give me a lot of help but it is still very hard to get connected. Better improve it next time.
Remarkably, it is not easy to find the little key safe near the painting of a garden. I felt like I was investigating a crime scene, searching for evidence.... And the two keys were not working when I found them! It took me a while to contact Tom successfully and asked him to fix the prob. I suggest the host better check the keys before putting them in the key safe. Still, Galina and Tom are good hosts who reply calls/msgs promptly.
We stayed at Galina's apartment 4 days for our short trip to Sydney. This (email hidden) to stay, its right next to station if you'd like to catch the train to the city and if you'd like to drive, its not too far from the CBD either. Specially, the owner is really friendly and helpful. I remember I forgot the keys once inside the apartment, and the owner could not be more helpful, i just left a message and they dropped off a spare set of keys for us straight away. We enjoyed our stays at this apartment. Thank you
Before we arrived we were warned that pest control had been in because there was a cockroach problem. During the 11 days we were there we still came across cockroaches.
There was building work going on right next to us and it was a big problem, we would be awoken every morning at 7:30am, even on weekends.
The room was very hot and we couldn't even open the window fully.
I don't think it was right to allow people to move in during the building work, the noise was very loud.
I also didn't like how the advert on airbnb did not clearly state that it was a uni lodge and the room was being sub letted. The advert also said there was a full kitchen, therefore we bought food to cook, however with basic things like a source pan and working oven, we could not eat a lot of the food.
The upstairs part was also difficult to get up to, especially trying to get a suitcase up there. My friend could not even stand up fully at the top because it was so low.
I wasn't expecting much for the price we paid but to be honest I wouldn't have booked it if I knew it was going to be like it was.
I do appreciate that Galina's communication was very good.
The Broadway apartments is a very central located in Sydney CBD.
Clean, comfy, cozy stay. Not luxury, but the price is reasonable enough.
I would definitely recommend it for couple or three nights.
