Overall a great house with a lovely view over the lake where Woodstock revelers skinny-dipped back in 1969. While the house is a little worn around the edges, Bob was very responsive and promptly fixed several broken light bulbs and other minor annoyances after we texted him. It's proximity to the concert venue and museum at Bethelwoods is also a major plus -- you can walk (it's almost a mile away) or drive like 2 minutes down the road.
Our stay at Robert's lakehouse was an unforgettable one. We needed a nice, quiet getaway for a larger group of people that had activities available for everyone, and his house provided just that. There (email hidden) to play backyard games plus the floating dock with the boats was a huge hit. The lake is beautiful, clean and quiet. The house was very clean and there was plenty of space for everyone. Robert was extremely helpful and only a phone call away if anything was needed. We couldn't find the kayaks and he came over immediately with 2 brand new ones and even took the trash we had already accumulated. We loved our stay here and would definitely stay again.
My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time camping out. Very secluded and quiet. There's a beautiful lake down the road, plenty of trees , and wild deer.
I recommend this place to all
He was wonderful and the house was better than expected. We had a difficulty with another listing and AirBnB had to book us at a last minute listing. Robert was kind enough to accomidate us late in the evening. The house was big, beautiful, comfortable, clean, lots of windows and even changing rooms in both upstairs masters; you could wake up looking at the lake from each bedrooms french doors, to your own private balconies. The main floor also had a balcony across the whole back of the house. The downstairs...had the weather not been so perfect, would have gotten alot more use with the pinball machines, foosball table and much much more. Did I mention we were fortunite enough to be at the house when Lady Antebellum was at the Arts Center(a 2min walk away) and sat on our balcony listening to the whole concert as it bounced off the lake and right onto the balcony and our own private show. The upstairs huge jacuzzi tub and chandelier above it were a nice surprise.
Great house! Just as described. Plenty of kitchen basics for preparing (website hidden) was very easy to reach by phone. Recommend!
Met the host at local restaurant by coincidence. Great spot off the beaten track.
We had a fantastic visit to Mint Cabin #1. This was a perfect AirBnB experience for my first trip! The kitchen was well stocked with cooking materials. This cabin has two bedrooms and a kitchen. The deck also provides great space to relax. The cabin was clean and linens were provided to us for our stay. The lake front is a short walk from the cabin and includes boats and lawn chairs for relaxing. The bakery is a MUST visit! It is amazing and only open on the weekends.
Robert (email hidden) and is very attentive if you need anything or have a question for him, he's available. We fished and boated on the lake and Robert provided us with oars and fishing rods. I am defnitely recommending a stay at Robert's cabins to everyone I know interested in getting away for the weekend.
We do have one tip. As noted in the description, you must buy your own propane tank for the grill. There weren't many spots to buy a propane tank in Lake Huntington so we had to drive to Narrowsburg about 20 minutes away. If you're already driving through there on the way to the cabin be sure to stop and grab gas before getting there!
Robert (email hidden), and the neighborhood was great. If it hadn't rained recently, we could easy drive straight up to our campsite, which was lovely. I would really recommend a little diner down the street called Tilly's for breakfast or lunch! Also very easy drive (10 to 15 minutes) from the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts!
Stayed at cabin 2 and loved it, it was so refreshing to get away and be disconnected for a few days. It got cold at night, the space heaters that were provided worked great. Overall had a great, enjoyable experience. Thank you Robert.
We camped with Robert and it was all we could wish for. He was there when we arrived. The campsite was clean, large and quiet; perfect for our festival trip to the Bethel Grounds!
