Laid back. In my 20's. Love to meet new people, and to give tips on NYC! Responsible.
We had a great time staying in Rebecca's Upper East Side location.
Four of us spent a long weekend in her one-bedroom apartment, and she graciously accommodated us with a BIG queen-sized blow up mattress (not the cruddy ones that rest on the floor). Great size living room and comfortable bedroom, easy walk to the subway 6 line.
She was a gracious host and this was a very cool neighborhood to stay in for our weekend plans. She was a pleasure to work out logistics for our weekend plans and that was invaluable. Our group had an unforgettable time in NYC and this home-base really made the difference!
A very clean and interesting apartment. Very close to the subway and on a clam street. Worth every buck. Rebecca is a charming host. The apartment is worth every buck and doesn't disappoint.
1- The hosts: 5/5
Excellent hosts, although I didn't get to meet them in person, they were responsive, polite, accommodating, and amazingly friendly. Have nothing to say except all good things
2- The location: 5/5
I really didn't understand the word "excellent" location before I experienced this apt. It literally is 2 blocks away from the subway, and 1 block away from Lexington street which is very lively and full of restaurants. For travelers, that's a big deal because we don't have food and always want a close place to go have breakfast, or pickup a coffee from Starbucks. Also having a baby, we needed a place where we'd only pay $10-$15 taxi fare to get to anywhere in Manhattan. The location is very central and accessible.
3- Parking: 4/5
The place doesn't come with a dedicated parking, which is a problem with most Manhattan apts. However there is street parking (although very difficult to get). We were lucky to get a spot after a few hours of waiting (and hunting). The option of parking in a nearby parking garage would have ended up costing us $120 for 3 days. So were were lucky.
2- The apartment: 4.5/5
Very clean, very quiet and very tidy. My only complaint was that although it says "walkup" in the description. I didn't think it would be 5 stories up! With a grandma and a baby, we dreaded the climb. But the overall experience was very pleasant we forgot quickly :)

I enjoyed staying in the apartment with Rebecca and Sanju although I didn't get to see them often as I was out most of the time. They were really friendly people. The bedroom, though small, was relatively clean and there was ample closet space. The bed, though the sheets were visibly piling, was clean and comfortable. Only minor complaints I had was that there was a pipe that ran through the ceiling onto the floor that had stuff running through it occasionally and made some noise (like sand running through a pipe) but I got used to it. The apartment was situated perfectly - a subway stop one block away that provides access to Penn Station, Times Square and other major stops. The surrounding area had many nice places to eat. All in all, a really nice place in the Upper West Side.
Great cosy little room in a fantastic location, exactly what I was looking for - both Rebecca and Sanju are great hosts - Sanju's tips and guidance made my first trip to NY really easy - and there's a great cafe a couple of blocks down the road, which I'd recommend to everyone who stays here! - i found the place quite warm and had to finally plug in the AC to sleep on the second night, so if you are like me and can't sleep when it's warm - there's the AC to take care of you. You can't go wrong with this place!
Cosy, clean room situated in the perfect location to visit New York! We loved staying at Rebecca´s. The room is cosy but has anything you need. Rebecca and her husband Sanju were very helpful and their tipps helped us to enjoy NYC. We didn´t get the chance to get to know them more, cause they went for holidays, which is also fine - we had the appartment for our own.
The place has many little restaurants, bars & cafés aorund to choose from, which ist awesome. We tried a few - i.e. the vegetarian indian cuisine just across the street - try it! Also the subway and Central Park are just one block away. We really liked living in the UWS neightbourhood - it felt almost like being a real New Yorker :-). This was our first time using airbnb and the absolutely recommend it!
Great Location, has many eateries to choose from.;block away from Subway station which is awesome!!! Rebecca very kind. Her husband was very nice and helpful as I arrived. Room was just fine, comfty bed!!! which is good, after being out all day and night!!
Rebecca is lovely - a great guest!
Rebecca was a very respectful and great guest. I would be more than happy to have her stay at my place again in the future!
Rebecca is my wife. She's great- and her apartment is even better :). She loves to meet new people and has traveled a lot. Rent the room or rent the couch- and have a great time in NYC!
