We had a fabulous time at Dennis's apartment. It will look small but by HK standards and considering it's bang near a MTR it great deal. Strongly reccomended.
3 bedrooms can sleep upto 12 pax. We had 5 kids and 5 adults and sleeping wasn't a prob. Each bedroom had a connected fully loaded bathroom which helped our cause as we had 3 families travelling so each had a bathroom to their own. The neighbours are friendly.
MrTai helped us settle on arrival. Do keep in touch with him via WA or airbnb for accurate responses, better than calling as most in HK prefer this mode of communication for English. The apartment doesn't have any parking in front hence expect to drag your luggage 50-100m if coming by taxi etc. He also changed our microwave since the original one wasn't working. The place around the apt has four 7-11s within 5 min walk and also wellcome dept store within 2 min walk. Lots of fruits and other shopping places. Two lanes down is a cheap street shopping market too for clothes & accessories.
The apt has a fridge, couple of TVs (not needed though), and hot water comes instantly. No issues during our stay. Floor n dustbins are cleaned once per day. Strongly reccomended at this price, ideal for 7-8 pax staying, can stretch to 11 pax too. Enjoy your stay.
the host is very accommodating, and easy to talk to. the place is quite ok, but it lacks cleanliness and tidiness sleeping quarters are ok too. most of the furniture are too old and cranky.
the kitchen and toilet is not that clean. overall it ok.
The apartment in the photos is NOT the apartment that Sally took me and my family to.
- We had the wrong address for the apartment until I double checked with Sally and she gave us a different address
-There was a poor old sickly dog (with infected paw) there and nobody said there would be a dog. My family is allergic so we asked for it to be taken away to the owners home. Instead they snuck it back in with the maid and hid it the whole trip (I told them to let it stay inside with the maids room so it won't freeze on the patio)
-There was a maid there that we did not know about prior to coming. She was nice enough but was on holiday the whole time. She was basically our apartment mate - we saw her in the morning and at night
- The place was filty. Everything was covered in grime and smelled like cigarettes. There were no towels so we had to buy them
- The pictures shown here look like nobody lives there. The apartment we were in (which is not in the photos) was lived in and is full of shoes, clothes, knick knacks, cigarette butts. I found a half eaten box of chocolates between my bed and the dresser. We saw a little mouse under the TV.
-The master bathroom often smelled like raw sewage (the smell came and went)
-location was good. 2 blocks away from the MTR, lots of food around
-big for a HK apartment
