We were very pleased with Edmond's apartment. Its comfortable, conveniently localized and clean. Also Edmond is very helpful and pleasant person.
My family and I stayed in this apartment for 3 days and our first impression is it's very homy. Feels comfortable, nice view, conveniently located at the CBD of Beijing. There's a small grocery store right in front of the apartment building, a cafe only 2 minutes walk, a very nice pecking duck restaurant 5 minutes away.
The host, Mr. Edmond also provided us with a map of the apartment and address in Chinese prior to our arrival in Beijing, which was very helpful for us since very few people speak English. Very pleasant stay.
Myself and three friends stayed at Edmond's apartment for 4 days. It is in a great location, just a 8min taxi ride to Tianenmen Square/Forbidden City, or 15mins to the northern Hutongs. You could get the subway, but taxi fares generally cost less than $2 regardless of time or the number of people.
The apartment was warm and spacious. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room to socialise too. The second best meal we had in Beijing was a mere 10min walk away. You must visit Najia Xiaoguan on Yong'an Xili road. Simply incredible food, but be prepared to queue! If you want to have the best meal in Beijing, visit Dali Courtyard in the hutongs north of the Forbidden City. There is a fixed price menu, and the chef cooks Yunnan cuisine based on the best ingredients from the market that day. You won't go hungry. Fantastic.
We would definitely stay again.
We had a lovely time during our weeks stay in the apartment, our host went out of his way to help with directions, trips and extras for the apartment. For people coming from the EU one of the beds are a bit to the hard side from what we are used to but not a major thing. The location is perfect, and getting around is really easy though the close by metro station and tickets only costing 2RMB. Would recommend any person going to Beijing to stay here
Had the pleasure of staying at Edmond's place. It was both comfortable and convenient. To give you a sense of what rent this place is like: I got an 'upgrade' to a 3 bedroom because Edmond was concerned that the carpet cleaning fumes hadn't dissipated. I'll definitely look up Edmond's apts again. Cheers.
