I love my family, the mountains, trees, quiet, animals, ideas and conversation. I also have a studio in Julian called Studio Samadhi.

Little Pine was the perfect place to get away from civilization for my birthday. It was lovely. The wood stove works great, the décor is charming (it's even cuter now than these photos show-- the loveseat is replaced by two cool old armchairs), and the bed is incredibly comfortable with lots of warm quilts and pillows. It was cold and windy the few days I was there, and it was a comfortable place to be while the wind howled.
We were originally booked in Little Pine, but upgraded to Big Pine since it was available and was more spacious, with a separate living room. Our cabin was rustic and comfy. We enjoyed complete privacy for the two nights we stayed. Upon our arrival, Christine greeted us and offered excellent suggestions for restaurants and day hikes in the scenic hills around Julian. A relaxing, peaceful getaway.
We had a great stay. Close to town and all was as described.
Christine was great! She was very friendly, a fast responder and sent instructions that were perfect! She also had the cabin very well equipped for our visit! The location was a few minutes from Main St. and yet far enough away we had silence! The location was perfect and the neighborhood was great! Everything we were looking for!
This was a second stay and we felt at home.
The cabin was very cute and the property was really nice. We really enjoyed our stay.
We loved staying at Big Pine Cabin! Christine was great host, very helpful, and easy going. It was very relaxing and a great spot for a nice quiet getaway. The tire swings were an added bonus that our son really enjoyed. We highly recommend Whispering Pines and Christine!
Couldn't have asked for a more pleasant country getaway than Whispering Pines. Loved the rustic feel of the whole place which included our adorable cabin complete with a wood burning stove, a tire swing to bring back childhood memories, and a very friendly cat named Marco Polo! Julian in spring time is like something out of a Thoreau work, and that's exactly how I wanted it to be. Thank you so much to Christine our host!! Can't wait to come back already :)
Christine and her family were very welcoming when we arrived at Little Pine cabin. The caretaker greeted us with a smile and said hello as we got out of the car. We were very worried about parking correctly as parking at home is a big issue. Christine was very kind and responded to my texts promptly even though she was at work when we arrived. She was very flexible about parking which was much appreciated! We initially wanted to rent out the Big Pine cabin but it was not available during the days we requested. Christine offered the Little Pine cabin and we took it. It was very small for the three of us and our dog, but it was still comfortable. When we arrived it was very cold out- I think Christine could tell we were chilled and she taught us how to use the wood burning pot belly heater in the main room. There is a super cute tiny Wedgwood stove in the kitchen that still works great. I was relieved to find the french press in the cupboard too! The kids loved the goats and chickens and my daughter could not get enough of the hammocks and tire swings. The cabin is located close enough to Julian that we were able to make a few day trips and got to visit places we wouldn't have got to see otherwise. We toured the Eagle Creek mine, hiked Lake Cuyamaca, went to Anza Borrego Springs to see the giant Avery sculptures etc. and also got to eat in town everyday. Super fun trip!
This was our 2nd stay in the Big Pine cabin and once again we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The location is peaceful, beautiful, and a short drive into town. This is our go-to place to stay when we visit Julian. Christine is most accommodating.
This was the 2nd stay for Christine, and it was just as much a pleasure as was the 1st visit. Christine is an independent professional person and one that any host would love to have in their home. Clean, quiet, considerate, and caring... all those qualities and more. I hope that Christine manages to reinstate her local contract so that I might have her visit again. Thank you Christine! HIghly recommended.

Christine was a wonderful guest! She communicated well with me before and during her stay which always makes for a pleasant hassel free experience. Christine was so nice and personable. We had several great chats. She left the space perfectly clean! I would happily host her again and would recommend Christine to any potential airbnb host.
