My wife and I had a good stay in Venezia. Lucia's apartment is large, clean and quiet. The location is quite good. There are some water bus stops in just a few minutes of walk from the apartment. The private garden was lovely that we had some good breakfast time there.
Lucia is a very friendly and helpful lady. She picked us up at the airport bus stop and showed us the way to the apartment and the stores nearby. Carrying quite a number of luggage with us, she even offered help on holding one of the suitcases for us. In the apartment, she showed us very clearly what we needed and made us stay like home.
We are thankful for Lucia's host. It is surely a good apartment that worths visiting again.
Lucia was easy to communicate with, and very responsive to our requests on arrival time and where to meet her.She was waiting at the stop advised to meet our water bus from the airport.
We were a little disappointed to be advised that there was a problem with the apartment we had booked and she was moving us to an alternative
Although this didn't have the Venetian ambience of the one chosen, it was newly furnished with new appliances,an excellent air-conditions ( temps in the 30's Celsius) and very clean.
It in fact turned out to be in a better location than the one chosen, so we were very happy with the outcome.
Lucia was helpful which was especially good when meeting us off the bus & never going to Venice before. She was responsive to questions & friendly. The apartment was definitely suitable for our requirements.
This apartment was beautiful and absolutely spotless. Lucia was easy to deal with, and sent Cinzia to meet us at the bus stop and walk us to the apartment which was only 5 minutes away. We appreciated this added kindness, considering the maze which is Venice to new-comers! Thank you, Lucia!
great little apartment in a convenient area! right next to the train station its easily accesible on foot with luggage. the apartment is spacious and fairly well decorated although i would suggest changing at least the matress of the bed to make it less marble like :) the apartment was very clean! it is not close to the main attractions but a vaporetto pass clears that up! loved the area which gave us a better insight into venetian life! also thank you for letting us leave luggage until we had our train!
Centrally located, the apartment is a well appointed, spacious, quintessential Venetian apartment with some nice subtle touches and canal views. It is about a 5 minute walk from the Piazzale Roma if you are coming in by bus and about a ten minute walk to the train station. Major Vaporetto stops for the Grand Canal and a major grocery store are about a ten minute walk away.
All the amenities you need for a comfortable stay though no extra ‘host’ touches provided. And be sure to ask Lucia how to use the hot water in the bathroom as it’s kinda tricky. The shower was a bit funky, the hot water is very inconsistent and we were given no instructions as to any tricks on how to use it. It would go very hot and then ice cold on us in the middle of a shower. Not pleasant. We never managed to get hot water in the kitchen.
Mosquitos! It’s Venice… if they like you, be sure to bring protection.
The wireless mobile internet is very slow, so don’t plan to Skype or download podcasts. Enough to get email. And though TV is listed, there are only Italian broadcasts available, so forget about keeping in touch via BBC, France 24 or any of the basic European news channels.
Lucia met us at the bus-stop, let us stay a couple of hours over the listed departure time and when the internet maxed out unexpectedly (which was a freak out as we were organizing our next stop), she dealt with it immediately. Grazie Lucia.
We spent 1 week in this very nice apartment and thoroughly enjoyed it! The apartment is spacious and comfortable. It is right at the canal "Rio de Santa Margherita" behind the very popular and lively Campo Santa Margherita. A very good place from which to explore the beautiful city of venice. Our hostess Lucia was very nice and helpful! I would recommend the apartment to my friends.
I stayed for two months at Lucia lovely apartment in Venice. Lucia did everything possible to make me feel welcome -- meeting me at the train station, responding promptly to any questions or issues, and even helping to carry my bags to the train station when I was leaving.
The apartment is sunny, comfortable and in a great location -- close to both the bus and train stations, in an area in Santa Croce called Tre Ponte -- three bridges. There is a large supermarket close by (unusual in Venice) and great restaurants, bread shop, dry cleaner, etc. The apartment is on a wide plaza, with trees and flowers and a cafe next door. On Thursdays there is an organic food market, with a cheese vendor and lovely produce. The area is safe, quiet and convenient -- the canal can be seen from the left window in the sunny bedroom. The rio tera is not more than a 15 minute walk to the Rialto or Accademia Bridge but thankfully out of the tourist areas which can be very crowded. Lucia organized wifi, and there was a small charge for additional heating because I stayed for so long in the late winter into spring. I would happily stay in Lucia's apartment again - -and in fact hope to.
