Io sono una insegnante in pensione che si dedica a cercare di far apprezzare ai turisti Venezia
Great appartment, great location and you have view over venetian canals and roofs. Very clean, comfortable and stylishly furnished rooms. A lot of space. Highly recommended!
Lucia met us at the closest vaporetto stop and took us to her apartment. It was spacious and exactly as represented on the site. Lucia was also kind enough to give me a bottle of prosecco for my birthday. The lovely apartment is located on a canal near shops, restaurants and local markets. We spent two weeks there and would certainly book with Lucia again next time we are in Venice.
A slightly different apartment was provided (just round the corner) as there were hot water problems with this apartment. The apartment was clean, well looked after and in a great area of Venice. I appreciated the great kitchen and wi-fi.
Lucia was quick to respond, met me at the agreed time and place, and showed me round the apartment and how everything worked.
I will be back!
Vielen Dank Lucia
The apartment was lovely, but while we rented it as a two bedroom she had one bedroom locked away and made two beds in the other. Also not thrilled with the extra charges upon arrival. We tried to contact her all morning to tell her our arrival plans had changed, so we would be arriving earlier. She never returned our texts. So when we arrived, we took the L'Arte vaporetto and toured the Grand Canal- just to kill time. Finally once we started to head for the apt, we called her and she was obviously perturbed- but met us at the bridge and was very critical that we hadn't come the way she told us to (The L'Arte Vaporetto doesnt stop at the one she had given us.) The apartment is lovely, but we have had excellent hosts the rest of our trip, so being scolded and so forth was sort of unsettling. Plus it was my birthday- and I was not in the mood for that kind of treatment. There was no iron there, but she brought one the next day when we asked for it. Most places we stayed had coffee and sugar and oil. Don't count on that here. She also seemed upset when she brought the iron that we had done laundry already, "Too much...tsk tsk" shaking her head.. Id give the apt itself a high score.. maybe it was just a bad week for her.
Good central location. Very very spacious and clean with new furnishings. Lucia was very quick with email responses and accommodating.
The apartment is really lovely, spacious, clean and well equipped. We enjoyed having breakfast every morning at the small terrace. It is in a quiet area, but convenient for our visit to the Art Biennale and its scattered venues. It is also quite handy to a Billa supermarket which opens until 11pm, (just opposite to the S. Basilio Vaporetto stop and next to the post office), - a 6 mins walk. The Campo Santa Margherita is also about the same walking time where we found market stalls of vegetables and fish (though fish were on holiday during August unfortunately), and a wonderful café or two. Lucia was very helpful in greeting us at the flat, was quick to respond by text message when we had questions. She was very kind in sorting out disposal of our broken suitcase which we’d replaced. There was no hint of the 15 Euros tourist tax charge that we’d noticed from comments of other previous guests. The only issue for us was the internet connection. During our one week stay, the only connection we could make was outside the entrance in the corridor, and even that stopped totally after the first two days. While this won’t be the case for all, internet is crucial for us – not only for keeping in touch with our work, but also for gathering information on venues, opening and closing times of attractions, latest restaurant recommendations (and August closures) – even weather forecasts…, and there is no internet café close (or reliable) enough. Lucia was apologetic about the problem which she believes is caused by a change of service provider, but we think there needs to be a modem/router/access point inside the apartment (the status quo sees the wireless modem ‘downstairs’ – clearly the signal is just not strong enough). Nevertheless, we’ve enjoyed our stay, overall we would recommend this apartment for your stay in Venice (as long as you don’t need internet access). Thanks Lucia!!!
This is a gorgeous and huge apartment located in a quiet, residential part of Venice. We found really great restaurants close by and liked being out of the way of the tourist stampede. We could easily walk in 5-10 min to the vaporetto stop, the Academia, the main square for groceries, etc. We had a little trouble with the air conditioning unit but Lucia was very responsive and helped out right away. Also, a second air-conditioner or another fan would be helpful for the high summer heat. Would highly recommend this beautiful place.
The apartment is great, refrigerate and on a perfect location in Venice. The apartment is a nice place to be on your own, specially after a busy day in our case, visiting the Art Biennale. It was lovely having breakfast and dinner in the small privat garden. The contact with Lucia before and the meeting when we arrived were kind.
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at Lucia's apt. It wasn't the apt we booked but were very happy none the less! It was situated on a canal and it definitely made you feel like you were in Venice. It was a bit of a walk to San Marco but it gave you a feel of what it's like to live with the locals. Lucia was very helpful, she met us at the bus stop close to the train station and was nice enough as to carry one of our bags! She gave us some good advice as to where to shop and some good restaurants in the area. We did book an apt that had a/c and we were told this one did not. My husband noticed an a/c unit on the patio and brought it into the bedroom for nighttime use. There is a mosquito problem in July anyway when we went?? So it's needed! But overall I would highly recommend the canal apt if you are to stay in Venice! Thanks Lucia!!!
