I am originally from South America. I love looking at the view of NY. It is like no other!

Getting into the apartment was an adventure! But we did get in- it is a lovely unit with a wonderful view! My group was very happy, and public transit was incredibly easy. 20 minutes and $3 later, you could be at port authority in NYC. Simple. Worth the money!!
The initial process of getting to this apartment was a bit complicated -- each stage required a phone call in which the next step in getting to the neighbourhood, the apartment building, the key, the main door, the apartment itself. But it's much better to do it this way rather than try to navigate to the listed address. I point this out not as a criticism so much as so that future guests might no what to expect; I must admit there were moments when I wondered whether I would actually get inside the apartment! (especially when I was sitting outside the apartment and suddenly couldn't reach the host for 10 minutes).
The good news is that this is as bad as it got, and it really wasn't so bad. So my advice to future guests: if you're having the same adventure trying to get there, just go with it. Once inside the apartment, everything is great ... the view is as spectacular as advertised, the space is large, the beds are comfortable, everything is clean. Best of all, you are really surprisingly close to Manhattan. The buses are so frequent that you can just walk outside and wait for the first one that comes, and they take you right to the port authority bus terminal. Returning is just as easy: they are every 10 or 15 minutes, and even in the middle of the night they apparently run every 20 to 30 minutes. The trip is 25-40 minutes depending on when you travel (best to avoid tunnel traffic at rush hour).
The unexpected bonus on this trip was how nice the local area also was. Across the street is a lovely park, and it's a short walk to streets filled with little restaurants, cafes, stores, etc. So one obviously wants to get to Manhattan as often as possible, but you won't be dependent on the bus in order to grab a quick breakfast or to pick up some supplies for your stay in the apartment.
A final note. I never met the host, only interacting on the phone. Nonetheless, the conversation was very helpful in explaining the wireless, the A/C, the bus to Manhattan, and so on. I felt perfectly free to call at any time if there were problems or further questions, but it turned out there was no need to do so. All in all, this was a highly satisfying stay and I would have no hesitation booking there again.
I really enjoyed my stay here!! Super easy to get to times square!! The bus across the street is only 3 bucks and it takes you to the heart of times square! Nice quite neighborhood and very clean apt! The view was amazing as well! If I ever come back to NY id def love to stay here again!
apt is really a good deal. thanks for letting us extenf our stay!
We didn't get to meet the host but apt was in clean and quaintly set up. We ended up booking few extra days also. Really easy travel into port authority nyc
Our family of 3 stayed here in Sept (late Summer). The host was very friendly and helpful. The apartment is spacious and you can see the NY skyline from the tiny bathroom window when you take your shower.
The address is on Boulevard East if you use a GPS, and not JF Kennedy Boulevard. We were lost using our GPS & spent 1 hour looking for the correct address.
Parking is on side of road because there is no parking space for this apartment.
Some plus points:
1. convenient location & 20mins bus access to central NY
2. quiet neighbourhood
3. wifi and laundry provided
Some points that would have made me reconsider staying in this apartment:
1. age of apartment is obvious from the lack of maintenance & attention (my wife found dusty corners when she made up the bed).
2. aircon is noisy & ineffective, so our stay had very warm nights. There's a fan in the bedroom but not the living room, so my son had to sweat out the nights.
3. there's an iron but no ironing board
4. host prefers to seal off many cupboards which had her personal items, so my wife felt restricted and un-welcomed
5. the extra pillow was ok (not airline pillow) but the couch is pretty tight for an adult. It would be nice to even have an air mattress.
