I love travelling, exploring and meeting new people. Living for extended periods overseas in Kenya and China, has allowed me to do that and unleash my adventuring spirit. Now, it's great to be home, put my feet up and relax.. before going out again!
My most memorable times away has been doing life with the locals. My highlights are, Christmas last year in Normandy France in a 17th century farmhouse, tobogganing down from an alpine restaurant at midnight in the Italian Alps of Sestriere, the previous home the Winter Olympics, circus style NYE in San Diego, wedding in China complete (email hidden) lobster served for our culinary delight.
My life and work means I'm popping in and out at home and I thought why not open up my place if someone is looking for a more authentic, local experience of Sydney.
I like things neat and clean so there is always a welcoming feel to come home to. If you are looking for a convenient, non commercial place to stay for a bit and collect some more experiences, this might just be for you!
I'm a casual style person, just moved out of the corporate life and transitioning into life coaching for relationships - to bring fun and create opportunities to finding the one and sustain love.
When you come, there is room in the cupboard and fridge for your supplies and always a bottle of wine somewhere handy for a glass of wine in the courtyard in the evening and a bottomless pot of organic coffee on in the morning to share.
The 'Fern - as we call it around here - is a magical melting pot of cool bars, characters, charisma, charm and closeness to the city, beaches and all things Sydney. We've got it all, fabulous Coffee at Coffee Tea and Me, cool bars of The Dock, Arcadia Liquour, organic produce at CarriageWorks markets and Farmgate and everything inbetween at the doorstep.
I love my 'hood; local delights and sights include the spotted pig on a leash on his daily walk sniffing out treats in the park , the bubbly lady with her brightly coloured attire as she cycles by leaving behind only a smile and a trail of bubbles and every kind of person imaginable.
The site recommends to tell my life motto ... "be ready", very helpful approach to life and on the flip side I love surprises.
There you go ... a little about me and where I live. Contact me if there's anything else you'd like to know for your decision to come and visit!
