We have lived and traveled with our five children (aged ten, eleven, thirteen, thirteen and sixteen as of 2015) in Costa Rica, Mexico, Asia, Africa and Europe. They attended Spanish-speaking schools in both Costa Rica and Mexico in addition to home-schooling.
Our most recent trip was an 11-month bike trip around Europe from (phone number hidden). We started in Copenhagen, and rode our bikes through Denmark, German, Holland, Belgium and France. We took a break from the bikes during the winter, and spent several months in Spain, Morocco and Switzerland, then wrapped up our bike trip in Italy, France and Ireland.
Some people get nervous about by the idea of renting to a family of 7. We can completely understand that. However, we rent our own house out when we travel, and we will treat your home the way we want ours to be treated. While our children certainly have their moments, they are well-behaved, and will treat your home respectfully. Given that we camped for more than 100 days on our trip around Europe, we are all used to sharing small spaces and sleeping in sleeping bags.
