sane British artist living in NYC
Had a wonderful stay. Jane was very cordial and friendly. Perfect location for me with family in Brooklyn. Attended a Barge Concert which was one minute walk away.
I think Dumbo is a perfect place to stay if you like water and want to be very close to Manhattan but enjoy a little distance to the often stressfull downtown hussle (and if you do not want to stay in indie-rocker-Disneyland Williamsburg either.) It's an (ex-)industrial area on one side and cherry blossom sweet like a small families dream on the other, Brooklyn Heights waterfront side. Ever thought about cycling round Brooklyn?
Yes, you do see two massive bridges right in front of your window (sometimes a little noisy, but it's noisy everywhere in this city), and the skyline of Manhattan as soon as you walk out, and also there's a nice new park right next to the water (which is right next to where you are).
The place itself is spacious, light, full of little charming and unusual details, hidden beauty, we found something new we loved every day. And it has everything you need - if you like artist's loft of course, but you wouldn't probably read that if not.
But most importantly: Jane has the ability of making you feel that it's really ok you're there. She's honestly welcoming, funny and interesting, and we regret to not have more spend time with her at her house (New York? What's that?)
Rare find. Thanks a lot.
Jane is a wonderful host with a fabulous loft. Very accommidating, charming and gracious. We would definately Love to stay there again.
a definite 5 star !! the loft AND Jane. Neighborhood in DUMBO/BROOKLYN HEIGHTS is very NY .... everything you need nearby. View of the BrBr out bedroom window is terrific way to start the day !! A and C subway station only blocks away, so getting into Manhattan is a snap. .... or use the bridge. Place is unique and welcoming. I loved it.
This was my first expirience with airbnb and I tell you, Jane's Place is a 100/100. I had the chance to stay a full month and spent an excellent time here. Beiing even "cooler" that it looks on the pictures, here you are arrived in "the city". Getting out of the door and see the Manhattan skyline - breathtaking. Also the neighbourhood is really nice, everything you need is in walkable distance. I went running quite a bit and found nice routes both in Brooklyn and over the Bridge in Manhattan. You'll enjoy it here!
We recommend to stay in Jane´s loft. It was a great place for our first NY explorations, we would definitely stay again.
Very smooth - everything as described, great views of the bridges, will definitely stay again.
Jane was a fantastic host! Her place is great! Easy location, clean, comfortable and lots of charm. I highly recommend her as a host.
jane is a sweet and interesting lady with a wonderfully unique and charming loft. i would recommend staying for a glimpse of a down to earth neighborhood and fun nyc experience. the bridge is great ... would love to be back!
I had a wonderful time at Jane's! She's a wonderful hostess! Her loft is in an ideal location with a beautiful view of Brooklyn bridge! Brilliant! I highly recommend her loft! Thanks so much, Jane!
Jane is a super guest! Very cheerful and easy to talk to! A pleasure and a future pal:)
I really enjoyed meeting Jane. She was a great guest - very considerate, unobtrusive, and interesting. Communication beforehand was very easy and clear. She left everything spotless and was very pleasant company.
