I built this house for those people interested in simple, sustainable living and wanting to get away from balinese compounds. This is the best of both worlds.

Eric's Bamboo Treehouse in Nyuh Kuning Ubud was everything we expected and so much more. So close to everything. So close to the ricefields (I loved this part). So close to the Monkeys (Our childrens loved this part). So close to the shops of Ubud (my wife loved this part). Next to a soccer field where the locals play every evening before the bats show up. Next time I will bring my soccer cleats. The cultural experience of staying in the village of Nyuh Kuning will be hard to rival. The locals were great and the neighbor is very friendly. All of our questions were easily answered by Eric or by Wayan who made our stay very enjoyable. The children loved the extra area in the yard to run around, and Eric's tomato plants have a few less tomatoes now. The soccer field being so close was great for the children as well. The market is only 50 meters away and has everything you might need. In the month we stayed at Eric's, we used at least 20 of those 15 liter drinking water containers and I am glad I only had to carry them 50 meters.
Eric's place has the basics and is beautiful simple living in a great location.
Eric and his girlfriend stayed two nights in my home in Denver. They were excellent guests throughout their entire stay. They are very friendly, kept everything clean and communicated their plans ahead of time. I highly recommend them as guests and I would host them again!
Eric is an extremely lovely guy. His parent's came to stay with me and they are the nicest couple. Very respectful and honest. I would love to have all three come stay with me again soon!
