Hi, My name is JR Cho. This guesthouse is for everyone, everyone can come and relax and feel the real Korean hanok.
The hanok stay experience was a very fresh one for me and the host makes it better with his friendly accommodation. He answers to all our doubts and we felt like as if we were home :D We love the whole area where the hanok was located too. There are so many food and shopping stalls, plus the whole environment around was awesome too.
Mr Cho was a most gracious and accommodating host who went out of his way to meet us at the bus stop with umbrellas as it was raining when we arrived. We had a lovely experience in his cozy and wonderfully located hanok!
Mr. Cho was the kindest and most accommodating host. We had a very comfortable stay at his place in Bukchon!
Really Nice House, wooden authentic Korean traditional atmosphere, on top of all, Mr. Cho as the host is an example to follow. He speaks English, thoughtful, helpful, easy going, flexible, and he made really good "ramiyun" for breakfast. Ask him to make Kimchi Noodle for your breakfast.
If you want to feel the living being Korean back in 1890-19.. you must stay there. Very-very-very great location, I really love the street around the place, very casual and classic looks shopping street, great foods, and very near with the city center attraction (Geyongbokgung Palace) you can easily walk there. I think during winter would be a very nice area to stay. I would be back one day.
Staying in the hanok had given us a good feel of the living conditions of the KOREANS in the past, although we had the modern amenity of hot shower, warm floor and air conditioner during our stay there. And also the occasional use of Mr Cho's working chair and cable TV. Mr Cho was a great host and he had given us lots of privacy.
