Great location, great hosts and a very well decorated and functional space. Heated floors is a plus. Close to everything awesome about Williamsburg!! And easy to maneuver around to the other boroughs.
Leslie and Susan's Roof-Top Room in Williamsburg was exactly as promised! You've got your own personal space with patio, and somehow you feel both relaxed and away from the city buzz but also very much in the heart and soul of Brooklyn and this up and coming borough.
It's got too many restaurants and fantastic shopping (vintage and local designers) to choose from. A big bonus for my boyfriend and I was having the option to check out several Winter Flea and Farmer's markets (Smorgasburg, Williamsburg Flea, Artists & Fleas).
We were also able to walk via the Williamsburg Bridge directly into Manhattan, beginning first with Chinatown and Little Italy, and then made our way through Soho, Nolita and Greenwich.
This place is not only affordable for a weekend stay, but is close to everything you need in terms of food, fun, and transit (taxi, limo, subway, bus). Check it out and enjoy the local donuts and fresh coffee you get upon arrival :)
Thanks to Leslie, Susan and Ben for the stay; and we hope we can return the favour if you're ever in Toronto.
This place was wonderful! Leslie was very kind and welcoming upon our arrival. Check-in was quick and easy with a walk through and quick rundown of the area. The place was very clean and comfortable. They left us the most AMAZING donuts I've ever had from Pie's & Thigh's. They also have a wonderful binder in the room that details the area and has a great menu selection. It's a wonderful area with plenty to do nearby. Great food and drinks! We were extremely pleased! :)
very nice appartment, good neighborhood, nice and welcoming host - would definetly stay again (next time longer .. :))
Leslie and Susan were wonderful hosts. They were accommodating to an earlier check in, carefully explained all the details and had a sweet tea selection! I would recommend this spot to anyone. Clean, quiet, and convenient to the L and G. Close to ATMs, cute little restaurants, Tibetan shops, sexy lingerie and not that far from a skeeball bar I highly recommend for casual hang outs called Full Circle Bar! They even had a blow dryer which I forgot is crucial for keeping icicles from forming on your head post shower in these parts. In the winter, the shower has to be kept on at a low drip to keep the pipes from freezing so if you are an extremely light sleeper bring ear plugs. It didn't bother me, but just an FYI. In general I was super happy with my stay, and for this chance to build up an air bnb reputation. My first solo stay, and I totally loved it. Thanks!!!
The apartment is as nice as advertised, and we loved the neighborhood so much we spent less time in Manhattan than we had planned. Leslie and Susan had donuts from the amazing Pies and Thighs waiting for us, plus coffee and tea, and a guidebook told us everything we needed to know about the neighborhood and getting around. We look forward to staying there again.
Leslie welcomed me in person which I really appreciated, I got lost and came late but Leslie was very understanding. She showed the apartment which was exactly as described, even better, very luminous and a smart layout, had all I needed for my short stay. It was very cold those days so I appreciated the cozy floor heating. The area is the typical Williamsburg which means lots of street life, shops and creativity going on. In sum, another great AirBnB experience!
Very communicative, accommodating and responsive. Everything was exactly as described. Perfect solution for spending a weekend in Williamsburg. We would definitely stay in Leslie and Susan's carriage house again and highly recommend it. Thank you both.
I walked in to heated floors and fresh donuts. Chamomile tea and real sugar cubes awaited me.
Leslie met me at exactly the time she said. She was warm and welcoming, even giving me directions to the subway for my commute the next morning.
She describes this as a "Eurohotel" and I agree with that statement. This airbnb was cozy but modern and everything was so green. This made me feel taken care of. I enjoyed everything from the Meyers room spray to the organic milk for my coffee in the morning. Lovely visit to Williamsburg.
I had a very comfortable week at Leslie and Susan's apartment, the apartment was immaculately clean and well organized and best of all quiet. The location is central and within walking distance to everything Williamsburg has to offer. I would highly recommend this apartment to friends and family.
