Everything was perfect! We were visiting our daughter who is studying in Ariccia with Auburn University (Alabama, USA). The apartment is in the old district just a few blocks from the Palazzo Chigi. We had a rental car and Manuel arranged a parking space just outside the building. We could walk to everything in town, just steps away from all the restaurants and small shops.
The apartment was charming and very clean and comfortable. It was my husband, myself and our two teenage daughters. The girls slept on the pull out couch which was not really big enough for two grown girls but better for one person or two small kids (maybe Manuel would consider getting another small inflatable mattress for the floor if there are going to be 4 people?) The loft bedroom upstairs was very comfortable, with nice sheets and pillows and bedding.
Manuel provided for all our needs. He met us when we arrived and was very helpful in every way. The kitchen was charming and had everything you would need. He had bottled water in the fridge, a coffee maker and sugar. The apartment has two bathrooms, one upstairs with a nice bathtub and one downstairs with a shower. Both were very clean, with nice tile and everything working and up to date.
I also considered staying at the Hotel Ariccia which looks like it would be within walking distance but over the big bridge. I am so glad I chose the apartment instead because it is very nice to be in the old part of town.
Manuel also offered to pick us up at the train station if we didn't bring our car. We highly recommend this apartment.
Nice house with everything we needed in the historic old part of Arricia. Manuel was a very friendly and helpful host.
Lovely home in the Centre of Ariccia. Nice and cosy inside with a big kitchen and two bathrooms. If you want to experience Italy for real come out to the small towns.
Would definitely come back to stay again!
Manuel was an excellent host who gave me a lift both to and from his beautiful apartment. The visit to this cosy and charming place in the lovely village of Aricca was wonderful. I only wish I could have stayed longer as the region had so much to explore and see. A great experience.
La casa è esattamente come descritta e presentata nell'annuncio, molto confortevole. Manuel è stato un host molto gentile e disponibile. Se dovessi tornare ad Ariccia sentirei sicuramente lui!
I had a great stay in Manuel's apartment. Ariccia is lovely - a beautiful Castello south of Rome (accessible to the city but away from the activity & tourists), and Manuel's apartment is in the heart of the historic center, on a quiet street. First, I should say that Manuel was a wonderful host - I had trouble with my phone upon arriving in Italy, and he waited patiently to hear from me (even though it was hours after I said I would text), and then, upon hearing that I had lost my directions, he gave me directions to Ariccia and came to meet me in town to drive me straight to the apartment. He was even saving me a parking space in front! The apartment itself is very nice - just as pictured. It is important to note that Manuel has thought of all of the little things a traveler might need - I found the kitchen very well stocked, as with the bathroom, and the bedroom even had a fan (this is something I have always had to ask for in Italian hotels, and one was not always able to be found, so to have one waiting was a wonderful surprise). It is not every Airbnb apartment that is so well set up for a visitor, so this is a big point in Manuel's favor! Every bit of the apartment also has interesting artwork or knick-knacks, which gives the place a very homey feel. Other important things to note: the wifi is strong and reliable (so useful when traveling!), Ariccia has very good cell service (with TIM; I do not know about other carriers), and the bed is very comfortable. The loft stairs are quite steep, which might be a consideration for those with children, etc, but I found it to be just fine. It is possible to hear the neighbors a bit at night, but with a bit of white noise it is no problem. Manuel himself is very responsive and pleasant; I had an excellent stay and would highly recommend this apartment!
I had a wonderful stay in manuel's apartment it is clean and well located. Manuel has been a very friendly and helpful (website hidden), I recommend the place.
This place is perfect. Very good, safe location in Arricia in the center of the town. Manuel was a great host and very helpful with any questions you might have about the area, i.e. wifi, train schedule, places to eat, etc. The apartment is great for 1 or 2 people and has a good kitchen if you want to buy some grocerys and cook. You will not find a better place for the money anywhere around. I highly recommend you stay here.
If you're staying in Ariccia - stay here. This place is perfect and Manuel is a great host. The home is steps away from the most amazing sunset on earth and an hour train ride away from Rome. There is no wifi, but you don't need that in Ariccia. I will stay here again.
