Incredible stay. Perfect location for me. Easy to get in and Mel was so wonderful in making sure I was taken care of. Cut little apartment. Has a little balcony where I was able to enjoy my breakfast.
Parking spot is really challenging. I had a lot of laughs trying to get in and out. I stayed parked on the street and mel provides a permit to do so.
We stayed here in order to be close to our daughter. It was perfect for us. The apt was charming, clean and comfortable. It was filled with light and everything was in good working order.
Mel was readily available to help us but we didn't need to ask much since her instruction manual included everything we needed to know and more. She had warned us about her garage being small and we were glad we had rented a small car.
My husband and I would certainly rent from her again.
Mel was a great host. Although we never met in person, she made herself available by phone and was always in communication. The apartment is exactly as described, and I would definitely stay again.
This was my second stay at Mel's place and it was just as sparklingly clean when I arrived and just as meticulously organized as the first time. Mel is always easy to reach and always ready to help. Highly recommended. Will definitely be back.
Mel's place was perfect for us. Every detail was explained in her guide and she was totally available if we needed anything. Great location and very clean. We will stay here again next time we are in town.
The apartment was awesome! Nice decoration, spacious and bright due to the sunshine through windows.
There's everything I need for a short stay, so I felt like I'm at home.
Besides, the Grove and farmers market are really close from the apartment. It only takes 15 minutes by walk.
There are markets like Ralphs and Trader Joe's, so I was able to buy some foods easily.
The only problem for me was a small parking space. It was not easy to park the car in a small garage. Except for that, everything was perfect and Mel's response was really prompt.
I definitely recommend this place :)
I had a fantastic stay at Mel's apartment. It was a great space, really light & airy and clean. The place is located on a quiet and safe street. It's a 10-15 minute walk from the Grove & LACMA. You have plenty of bars and restaurants as well as a Trader Joe's and Ralph's, all within walking distance. Mel is a great host, she responded to any questions I had immediately and made everything run smoothly with the welcome pack she sent me once the booking was confirmed. We had no issue parking on the street with the permit provided, but the parking out the back of the property proved very tight so I wouldn't recommend trying if you have a large car. If you are looking for a well managed, clean and safe apartment which is conveniently located in the WeHo area - then you'll struggle to better Mel's place for the value.
Mel is a terrific host. She sent me a brilliantly organized arrival package with clear, concise instructions on how to do everything. The apartment itself is a glamorous golden-age Hollywood gem with vaulted ceilings and a fabulous tiled bath, well-maintained with plenty of light and new appliances. It was immaculately clean when I arrived and everything was easy to find. Mel's got a great eye for design and her tasteful updates from West Elm and Ikea blend seamlessly with the original art deco decor. If you're traveling for work, the walk in cedar closet makes it easy to keep your wardrobe organized. The neighborhood is safe, quiet, and walkable to LACMA and the Grove. Wifi is fast and reliable. The parking space is tight but with a little maneuvering (and folded back side view mirrors) I got my sedan in. In short, this place is gorgeous and has everything.
Mel's place is really stunning, and feels like a home away from home. It has a cute old-world 50s style (old school tiles in the bathroom) but with mod cons. A proper kitchen was great to do some real cooking (although there weren't really enough implements for that - I ended up buying a corkscrew, veggie peeler etc) and being able to open the doors onto the balcony to let in some light was great too. One piece of advice for any light sleepers - the bedroom only has plastic venetian blinds and no curtains, so if you are woken up by light, pack an eye-mask.
We didn't meet Mel while in LA but she sent a welcome pack prior to arrival which was great.
The apartment was lovely, clean and in a great location.
Would highly recommend to anyone.
