Super-convenient (10 minutes by car?) to the ski area and downtown. Anita & Blaire were awesome. The house is warm & well equiped (KitchenAid!!) & spacious (easily and comfortably held 8 of us).
Just a bit about us guests to give some perspective. We are a group of 8 to 10 (it changed during the week) who travel every year to a ski destination for at least a week. We are all professionals in our 30's and 40's with a lot of travel experience and are pretty discerning but also pretty self-sufficient. We expect a home to be well stocked with kitchen/dining items and things like linens and towels. Anita's home did not disappoint. She was very helpful and flexible with our group - we had a bunch of kids which put us over the guest limit - they put some extra beds on the floor and the kids used the couches as well. There are family games, a Wii, satellite TV (which we didn't use) and tons of books. The house is close to town and to RMR, and was easy to check in/check out. There were lots of extra towels, condiments and a fully stocked kitchen. We enjoyed the cozy fireplaces on both levels, well-maintained hot tub, dining room big enough for large groups, plenty of parking and space to store gear. The only reason that I'm being picky and not giving it 5 stars is because the house is a bit dated. But the amenities and ease of rental, and fun factor were 5/5. We'd come back - highly recommended.
We had a great New Years Eve Stay at Anita and Blair's home in Revelstoke. The House is terrific and located very conveniently to the Ski Hill. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare all our meals, making for a very cost effective trip.
We'll definitely keep them in mind for our next trip to Revelstoke.
We had three couples stay in this house over a long weekend. Upstairs: two rooms were spacious and beds were comfortable. It gets a little warm but there were fans. Main bathroom was very nicely renovated, with modern decor, shower and bathtub.
Downstairs: one bedroom and bathroom. Both were very old compared to rest of house. Shower is small - and there was a sauna in this bathroom. A little odd, and extremely tiny.
Living space and kitchen were fantastic. Lots of room, television, large dining room area, and large kitchen.
Bonus: hot tub in the backyard was a nice end to the day.
Cons: Need to ask for more towels - we helped ourselves, but weren't too sure! Third bedroom and the additional bathroom in basement is older and smaller. Hot!
Pros: Our hosts were fantastic - and the house was clean and ready to go. Hosts left us room in the fridge, and had plenty of dishes, etc for cooking. BBQ was also a nice addition for the weekend.
Location is ideal for ski hill or a quick 5 minute drive into the town centre. Wireless internet access.
We had a group of 9 for the easter weekend in Revelstoke! Everything worked out perfect! The house, the weather, the skiing! Bluebird days on the hill, with a conveniently located, well equipped home awaiting for us at the end of the day. We appreciated the fully stocked kitchen, the size of the home, the hot tub etc etc. Beauty! Anita was very easy to communicate with and was amenable to our requests! Thanks so much!
My friends and I stayed at Anita and Blair's place for a long weekend and we had a great time, the place has tons of space and is very well set up for cooking and group dining. The hot tub was a great little extra too and it has a pretty nice view of the mountains.
Thanks Anita and Blair
Six of us stayed here for a ski trip and we very much enjoyed the accommodations! The home was spacious, clean, well stocked, included a great hot tub and was close to the ski hill! The host, Anita, was very easy to communicate with and ensured that our stay was pleasant. We would definitely stay here again!
Anita and her family were great guests, very kind and considerate. It was a pleasure to have them.
