Leslie was a wonderful host. Her little cottage just below Twin Peaks and just above the Castro was the perfect size for a city getaway for two. The price for what was offered is great-- a full kitchen, ample room for sleeping and relaxing, and the best part: a free parking spot!!! The view is pretty nice too. I'd recommend this little spot to anyone looking for a bit more than a hotel has to offer but for half the price-- a much homier and personal experience. Leslie was always available to answer questions when I asked them of her via AirBnB, even when she was traveling. Just minutes away from GG Park and in a great part of the city. Rush hour noise in the morning was definitely there, but that didn't bother me as I'm a city dweller. It was more like white noise. An all around gem of a place.
Leslie's cottage is great. I'd stay here again.
- Great low-key neighborhood. Always felt safe walking around.
- Bus right outside with access to downtown.
- Short walk to busier neighborhoods (e.g. Cole Valley) with restaurants/bars/grocery stores.
- Leslie was responsive, helpful, and professional.
- Very nicely designed; art throughout.
- Partial view of downtown.
- Good light
- The place is not well insulated from noise. Mockingbirds perched right outside kept me up 'till 3am the first night. Bought a set of earplugs the next day, and the other nights were peaceful. Curtains and double-paned windows would help a lot.
Lovely, old-style apartment in the Twin Peaks area = nice views, nice neighborhood, at walking distance to very cool Cole Valley (restaurants, coffee shops, grocery +). Leslie made it super simple and comfortable. Convenient commuting with 2 bus lines right at the corner, plus N metro line at Cole Valley. A fine place to discover cool aspects of SF, away from crowded touristic places.
Leslie is a great host! She responded to messages super quickly and was very clear about her check-in and check-out procedures.
Her home is super cute and cozy. It's in between a studio and a one bedroom - it has a work/eating area that is separate from the room with the bed/sitting area, but they are separated only by a doorway, not an actual door that can close. This was not a problem for my husband and me, but just keep it in mind if you're looking for a place with a private bedroom. I'd definitely rate the comfiness factor of the home a 5/5 - great bed, in particular!
The cottage is located in a great area, not too far from the Castro and the Mission. If you're bringing a car, like we did, it's no problem because Leslie has a dedicated street parking spot. The only downside to the location is that it's facing a fairly busy residential street that has a Muni bus line, so there is a lot of road noise - if you're used to the quiet suburbs, like us, you might have a little trouble sleeping, but if you're used to the city, you probably won't even notice! The upside to this is that the cottage has really great light throughout the entire day!
If you're looking for a cute, comfy, and cozy place to stay, don't pass this one up!
My boyfriend and I stayed at Leslie's for 4 nights. It was a great stay over all. Everything was well maintained and clean. Feels like you're right at home. We were close to the coast, city, shopping area and nightlife. The views are something to look forward to, simply amazing!!
Communication with Leslie was prompt and easy. Leslie made sure to have the key in a lock box for us and ready for our arrival. We were also thrilled to have a parking space available for us.
We would recommend this place to future guest staying in San Fran and would definitely stay there again.
My boyfriend and I had such a lovely stay at Leslie's apartment! It was the perfect size for a couple, with a bedroom/sitting area as well as a separate dining area, kitchen, and bathroom. The light and views are fantastic throughout, and it's in a great spot that's convenient to everything. We had a car and were thrilled to have a private parking spot, but for those traveling by Muni there are easy buses that pick you up right outside of the building.
The kitchen is adorable and has all the basics, the wifi worked without any issues, and the whole place was clean and comfortable. It's clear that Leslie puts a lot of love into it, and it's her home, not just a place she rents out on airbnb. She left a note full of useful info, including recommendations for local restaurants and bakeries.
Perhaps the best part was the ease of checking in and out - with an easy code to get the key, we were able to show up and leave at our convenience.
I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting SF!
Such a perfect little apartment. Flooded with sunlight and high ceilings, it is truly a gem. It's located near the top of the hill, so if you're hoofin' it, prep yourself for buns of steele. But if you don't feel like the hike, the bus stops just a few feet outside the door. The neighborhood is safe (for any femmes travelling solo) and the view is lovely. Would definitely stay here again.
Leslie was a wonderful hostess with clear and prompt communication. Her apartment is absolutely lovely and welcoming and in a fantastic location!
I will be booking a stay here again on my next trip to San Fran.
We loved Leslie's place. Perfect location, quiet, and so clean and organized. We felt safe at all hours of the day, and could walk easily to Castro area, golden gate park, and cold st village. Our first experience was amazing and I would not only recommend but highly suggest staying at Leslie's to anyone heading to San Francisco!
Leslie's apartment was perfect for me and my husband. Public transportation right out the door made it super easy to get around. Would definitely stay there again!
