Hello Robert, thank you for your feedback and I'm sorry to hear that your stay was unsatisfactory. I'm also sorry that I didn't get the chance to meet you in person. I would like to address a few of your comments...
For future reference, whenever you stay with another AirBnB host, I encourage you to speak up and let them know if there's something you're uncomfortable with. We open our home because we love the experience of meeting new people and inviting them to stay with us. We only want our guests to feel comfortable. My girlfriend was at the condo the entire time you were there. If you had texted her, or walked downstairs to talk to her, she would have gladly made changes to the heat level or provided fresh sheets. I know for sure that Jenny washes the comforter, sheets, pillowcases and towels after each guest. If you found some kind of dirt on the sheets, she could have quickly changed them out with a set from our linen closet. Also, Jenny tells me that she did explain to you that we're in the process of updating that room. I do apologize that it didn't have curtains. We have since added thick curtains to block the sunlight (if a guest wishes to do so). The door will be fixed by the end of this week, however, I'd just like to note that, even though the door was unhinged, our guests still get the entire second floor to themselves. My girlfriend and I never go to that floor, so to have that kind of privacy is something unique to our AirBnB listing and something that's hard to find in another place around here (without paying a LOT more money).
And finally, I'd like to recommend that you introduce any guest you bring over to the AirBnB host. This is considered a common courtesy in the AirBnB community (I've been doing this for a few years now). Jenny told me that she never did meet your girlfriend.
I'm only making these recommendations because I hope they will help you to have a more valuable experience with AirBnB. Once again, I apologize that the room did not meet your expectations. I appreciate your honest, open feedback, and as you can see, I've taken steps to remedy these concerns. Thank you, Robert.
