I'm a university science educator, coffee addict, geek, and foodie. I came to Chicago 20 years ago for graduate school and I still love this city. When not training future physicians and researchers, I enjoy photography, cooking, world travel, learning languages associated with opera music (Italian, French, and German) and hosting guests in my 120-year-old house.
I've been hosting 3 years and about 100 people have stayed here– most from the States but also travelers from Germany, and Poland and Kuala Lumpur. In the past year I've also used Airbnb a lot for traveling and I am now officially hooked! I've learned so much about my city, country and world, and I look forward to more great guests in (website hidden): I am actually not short. These guys are orthopedic surgeons, and in the picture I'm sitting down.
