***Please keep in mind, my American number works when I am in America and my European cell telephone is only working when I am in Europe. Therefore, the easiest way to contact me is by e-mail if you are not sure where I am.
I am an Alaskan, (I live in the very rural or so-called "bush" part of the state - meaning that we do not have any roads that connect us with the rest of the world - everything and everybody must be flown in). I live in a small town north of the Arctic Circle, almost 600 miles from the nearest road - in Anchorage. Our borough, (county) is the size of Indiana, (or the relative size of many smaller European countries). We have a national park the size of Vermont inside this area.
I am a world-traveler, with a special emphasis on Europe. I have the best job in the world, (I work two weeks on and then I get two weeks to do anything I want - which is travel).
I have simple rules; I do not eat in American restaurants, stay in American hotels or associate with Americans - I can do that in America. I like to be thrust into a new community and be forced to live like the locals.
