I am a contemporary art photographer, and an art guide at the Israel Museum.
I like art, music (all kinds but mainly classical) cinema, theatre, travelling, meeting people, pets...
I had a very nice time at Shlomo's - even though he was away for much of the time he was very communicative by email and before he left, actually picked me up at the airport to deposit me in TlV! We were conducting a Mozart concerto together which was wonderful.
I stayed in the big room where you have a desk to work on and a big bed. It is very quiet in the house, so you will not be lacking any sleep!
I can very much recommend him and his place for anybody who is looking for more than just a bed to sleep in but also a cultivated, kind person to share with!
I stayed with Shlomo for a week in February and had a wonderful time! He is kind, generous, funny, and knowledgeable. He was extremely hospitable and even cooked delicious dinner and breakfast a few times for me! The room was a very nice size, and the house was great. It is a bit of a schlep to the Old City, but it's manageable if you don't mind a hilly walk. The house is in a beautiful residential neighborhood with lots of tree-lined streets. Highly recommended, thank you Shlomo!
Shlomo was a wonderful host: funny, smart, interested, spontaneously, uncomplicated. What you want more in holidays? So it was a pleasure to stay at his house.
Very nice, easy-going, smart and helpful host! I enjoyed my stay at Shlomo - he's a great warm person that will give you a lot of insider information.
Shlomo is a great and very helpful host. i really enjoyed staying with him for 8 days. at the first evening he showed me the neighbourhood and more of jerusalem. he is always very helpful in things, what to do in jerusalem or tel aviv and explained a lot about life in israel. after a long day of exploring i could always bother him with all my questions. he also gave me a private tour in the israel museum. i had a wonderful time!
Due to a high fever Shlomo was hospitalized during our stay and we are very sorry we didn't have the chance to meet him. But his son Matan was also a great host and showed us around. The old fashioned house has a great atmosphere and is located very well, in a quiet and green neighborhood, only a 20 minutes walk away from the old city. Unfortunately we only spent three nights here and that's too short for a visit to Jerusalem. We'd like to thank Matan & family for their hospitality and making this a visit we will never forget!
I very much enjoyed my month's stay in Shlomo's little apartment. It was conveniently located, sunny, quiet and clean with good bathroom and wifi, and basic kitchen amenities.
I had a wonderful time at Shlomo's. He and his friendly cats were very welcoming and he kindly asked me to join their beautiful lucnch in the garden when my arrival. Shlomo and his other house mate Mark discuss about arts, especially Photography for breakfast which was fun to join. That is why I prefer to stay some one's in local via airbnb. the room is very spacious and quiet. You can just hear various birds singing. Thatnk you Shlomo for everything, I would definitely visit again if I had any chances!
Sometimes you will find a place and meet a person that are both interesting at the same time. Jerusalem and Israel is off course fascinating in itself, but Shlomo gives the place more depth and warmth.
The house and garden are romantic, if your in the sixties with wifi and fast internet. If AMC wants to continue with 'Mad Men' it should be here :-) Aldo it is less chic, but has the same old glamor.
I spent a *lovely* 3 days here, with Shlomo and his 2 cats. Cozy environment; garden surroundings. PERFECT location for everything I wanted/needed. Shlomo and his family are artists, and he shared some of his art with me. We shared tea, "cake," and conversation each evening - a lovely way to embrace more than just the sights. Shlomo kindly allowed me to leave my bags there an extra day, and even offered to drive me to my next stop in Jerusalem. The 2 cats provided purrrrrrrrrring lullabies each night, as we cuddled together in bed. I would *definitely* visit again, and would host Shlomo in my place, were he ever to visit Australia!
Shlomo was a charming and polite guest, very easy to accommodate, hope to host him again soon!
Precise and polite person. He gave me some tips on how to improve some things.
It 's a pleasure to welcome people like him
