Natalie was a really nice host. She told me one week before our trip that there was a problem with the room, but she helped us and found another accomodation for me and my friend.
She arranged our stay at a friend's house. The "new" room was very nice and clean and big, the neighborhood was the same so we have have been happy with our new accomodation. The only negative thing that I can say is that the bathroom was a bit old and small but for 3 nights it was okay.
Natalie was always in contact with us and I really reccomand staying with her!
The reservation was canceled 21 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Natalie was great! She made sure everything was in order for my stay. Great communication, great room, great location. Overall a great way to introduce me to this site. If you're new to Airbnb or have used it often, I highly recommend working with Natalie as a host.
Stayed in Natalie's apartment for a few days in early October. Getting technicalities out of the way first, the apartment is conveniently located directly across from the subway station (not directly as in 2 blocks but actually directly). The location is safe and people in the neighborhood are friendly and genuinely excited about where they live, something not to take for granted in New York City. Beyond that, the apartment is clean, quite large and comfortable. It feels like a real, living home. Natalie and her roommates are warm and just, simply put, good, real folk. They care about each other and what they're doing with their lives and though they all come from different places in the country (and canada), if you're looking for what new york is about, you'll find it here. As a bonus, Natalie and her roommate also make wildly interesting and creative cocktails of all sorts. Just ask away.
The room was exactly as advertised, clean and spacious. Unfortunately, I did not get to meet Natalie, as she was on a trip, but her roommates were very nice and met me early in the morning to give me my key. It is a 3 bedroom so the other 2 girls were there, but still I felt I had plenty of privacy, I think in part to the fact there is no common room so the only place to run into each other is the kitchen. They were really cool about letting me use part of the fridge for food too, which was nice. My experience was really great overall and I would definitely consider staying here again in the future. I highly recommend saying here. One thing to be aware of, and it really didn't bother me at in the slightest, but the building itself often smells quite strongly of weed, though not in this apartment.
My flight wasn't on time, so i arrived at 1 am in Brooklyn and Natalie had been very patient and understanding, i really appreciated it because i feel embarrassed to be late... I didn't see her first days, she wasn't at home when i was, but she sent me messages to be sure that everything was ok, i knew she was present if i had any question or any problem. It was really reassuring for me !
The bedroom was GREAT, the decoration is just perfect, i feel like home, it could be my bedroom, moreover Natalie has inspiring books she lent me. The bed was so comfortable and the atmosphere in the apartment is so welcoming and peaceful !
The apartment is well located ! The subway station is just in front of the building, it was so easy to go to Manhattan, the neighborhood is good, you can find coffeeshops and groceries, Prospect Park is next to the apartment !
Natalie has 2 roomates, i just met Morgan, she was so adorable, i had great conversations with her, i spent my last evening with her and her boyfriend in Prospect Park, it was nice and i enjoyed this moment :) Unfortunately, i didn't met the new roomate :/ And Dunkin is so sweet, it's impossible to not like him.
I highly recommend this charming vacation bedroom, i feel lucky to meet these girls and to find this wonderful place. Natalie offered me to stay more longer, but i refused because i booked another bedroom by Airbnb, i didn't want to make it complicated (cancellation, repayment, money transfer etc.) but i kinda regret now because i couldn't find a better place !
If i come back to NY, i'm sure to contact Natalie for my "next episode".
Natalie was an absolutely excellent host, making me feel very welcome from the start and all the way through my stay. All of the ladies were very accommodating, and super helpful. I felt like I got a real airbnb experience by meeting some fantastic local people that welcomed me into their home and undoubtedly helped make my week in New York.
The flat was immaculate, and even better than the pictures show. Possibly the world's comfiest bed.
I honestly cannot fault my week with Natalie and her housemates, and would definitely recommend staying here in this fantastic flat, with these lovely people to anyone. When can I visit again?!
Natalie was a fantabulous host! The moment we stepped into the house, we were greeted by her gorgeous dog Dunkin who is by the way, an amazing little donut!
Our bedroom was very beautifully decorated with paintings and loads of wonderful reads seated on the bookshelves which accompanied us on rainy nights. The bed was super duper comfy and the kitchen was perfect for preparing my own meals and for some nice long chats at the dining table with Natalie and her housemate Morgan who is also a superstar like Natalie! I am so blessed to have met these two wonderful ladies on my first visit to New York.
The location was way too convenient; with the Q, B and S stopping literally right in front of the apartment. Prospect park, was just a minute away with great routes for trekking, running and just chilling. Natalie was really helpful with directions and recommendations! The neighbourhood is great and we met so many fun people in our week's stay there!
If you want a great time in New York City, make sure you begin your experience at Natalie's home! ;0)
Natalie was a very friendly and gracious, and the room was exactly what my wife and I needed at an affordable price. Located across the street from a great coffee shop, a nice bar/restaurant, a bodega, a train station, it was a perfect location. We arrived in the city in the evening and she picked us (email hidden) across the street. I even found street parking (free from 7 PM til 8 AM) and the drive to Manhattan at 7:30 AM on a week day was actually really easy (30 mins). The room was large and clean, with 1/2 bath in the room, neighborhood relatively quiet. Good internet connection, was able to stream a hockey game without a problem. We had some slight water issues due to a leaky pipe in the building but Natalie helped us cope. Overall, a positive experience and would recommend to others!
My boyfriend, Jeremy and I stayed with Natalie and her roommate for a week, and it was a really comfortable, easy stay - everything a good airbnb is! The room and apartment was cosy and comfortable, and the kitchen was large and fully equipped. The apartment was kept very clean and tidy, and we enjoyed all the interesting books, furniture and decorations that the girls have collected. We also had a lovely time getting to know Natalie and Morganne, who were both friendly and interesting! Duncan, Natalie's dog, is gorgeous and I had fun taking him for walks in the park. And a very important bonus - the building is literally across the road from the B,Q and S trains, and half a block from Prospect Park (which is my favourite space in the city - if it's your first time visiting NYC, I highly recommend long walks and picnics in the park on sunny afternoons). Thanks guys! We'll definitely look you up when we return :D
Natalie and her band were great! I am so happy that they booked with me. They were quiet and fun and clean. I would love to have them back anytime!
Natalie was easy to get in contact with and very respectful of my home. I'd host her anytime!
Natalie's parents stayed in our apartment for a long weekend. We were fortunate to meet with Natalie before their stay. She was easy to communicate with and friendly all around.
Natalie is one of the most polite, kind-hearted people I have ever met! As a former co-worker and current friend, I instantly learned that I could count on her for anything. She's a talented musician with an incredible sense of style, which you can see in every square inch of her apartment. It's beautiful, bright, spacious, and a million times more stylish than any hotel room or hostel could ever be. Anyone looking to explore the city would be remiss to pass up the opportunity to stay in her accommodations!
