I am a lifelong designer and working artist. I have an amazing, historic building in the town of Tumalo, outside of Bend, right on the Deschutes River. I've kept my art studio in the front of the building, where I create leather garments and furniture, and have created Goldy's in the back. I love the convenient, rural lifestyle that Bend offers and have a big, wonderful dog and a wizened horse that I delight in riding all over our vast deserts and forests. I also love to kayak, ski, hike, dance, yoga, feast on fine foods, garden, painting, photography, and reveling in the sunshine.
I grew up in Portland, Oregon and love the vitality of cities, but I was always enchanted with the idea of having horses in my back yard. I was eager some space, privacy and small town with a sense of community. Tumalo is that blend of local owned businesses and various characters that all fulfills the desire for connection and involvement. Now I'm one of the characters and I know my local color! Everything to do and where to do it, too.
I've traveled a great deal and look forward to sharing my amazing location with others.
I also have the urge to roll on out and explore places yet undiscovered.
